Heavy sturdy good quality planet, very happy, the blade is sharp enough to shave the wood, esp during the monsoon when doors get jammed... Don't know about 5 inches one, but one can go for the small one also, the 10 inches one's heavy in hand...

Not usable
This is practically too heavy to handle. Difficult to hold in a hand while slicing. Definitely not for those whose want to try to DIY. Make it light and have a blade that is sharp enough to slice wood with a single hand.

You won't need a carpenter for jammed doors/windows
Awesome product. Even for the price. Works very well to plane doors or windows that tend to get jammed with the changing weather.

Good quality steel blade.
The steel quality is good. However it would have been better if it came pre sharpened.
