Very fun set

I really liked this kit, I was looking for one that was not easy and not to hard. It took me a while to build but totally worth the wait.

My 83rd - Ugears, ROKR, Woodtrick and others. This was a fun build; not especially challenging. A good project for beginners, with one main caveat: kit uses two thicknesses of wood; the thinner one includes small pieces, and pieces with narrow areas - real risk of breaking, so work slowly and carefully.This model uses the same chassis and motor drive as Ugears Rapid Mouse and Furious Mouse, and same technique: assemble chassis, motor, wheels; then assemble body, and finally join the two. Works fine. Spring drive , generally preferable to rubberbands.Looks great, especially those gull-wings. Runs very well.For those who may not remember (I do) this is a pretty good simulacrum of a 1954-55 Mercedes 300SL Coupe.

Building this model was a nice departure from regular model car kits. It's pretty amazing that everything snaps together tightly, all without glue.The included part removal tool was a nice touch, although I wish they included extras. About halfway through the build, the tip of that tool broke off, which made it a little more challenging, although not impossible, to use it to pop out tiny parts from the sheets.Throughout the build, I did have one piece snap while trying to assemble the front end, as the border pieces around the grille are so thin, so I had to glue that back together.In the end, I would say the instructions were quite good, and the estimate of around 4 hours to build is accurate. The hood and doors open, the front wheels can steer left, straight, or right, and of course there is the torsion spring to allow the car to propel itself across the floor.The level of detail shown is really quite remarkable. All in all, this kit exceeded my expectations, as the finished build is a lot sturdier than I thought it would be. It's certainly not a "play toy" that could be given to young children to horse around with, and more so an "interactive model" car.

This is a great wooden puzzle for beginners or those who get easily frustrated. My son loved building this and loves playing with is just as much! The directions were easy to follow and unlike some of these that we have build in the past, the piece go together easily (a source of frustration for us with other builds). Once complete the car is durable and fun to play with.

I love this model but be sure to be careful with assembly small parts break very easily
