My 30+ year old aquatic turtles love their bugs!
Both myself and the turtles love these dried bugs so much! They stand up and claw at the glass tank they are so happy for this treat! The mealy worms and crickets are just the ticket for my guys, in with regular feeding of pelletized food, not as a steady and only diet. The contents of the bag get flaky from the dried bugs being so brittle, so to cut down on tank feeding mess, I take some rubber glove and a strainer I keep handy for that use only and occasionally as the bag dwindles down, sift the powdery "fall-out" out, rather than into the tank, too small to eat for them, it's not that much of a deal, unavoidable IMO and these bugs are the greatest convenience and make my guys so happy how can it not be worthwhile? Just the looks on them and their reactions overcome any objections to using this product. I like it, they like it, fresh , slightly smelly, but IDC because since when aren't turtles smelly?Totally recommend this product for the price, quality & satisfaction of pets and owner!

Smells strong, Turtles enjoy it
Wowsers this smells badly but the ziplock helps. I was hoping for bigger pieces because we hand feed our turtles at our pond. They're a snack! We got a 5 gallon bucket and lid for turtle food and shrimp snacks. They definitely have an odor.

Fresh water?
For fresh water shrimp i was surprised to see hermit crabs and what look like starfish in the bag I found many many items that were not shrimp. Most items I put back in the bag but I also found fishing wire, fuzz, string and a good sized fish vertebrae I did not put back in the bag. The price is good for what you get but just make sure you are paying attention to what you get out of the bag.

TURTLE TREATS FOR A VALUE PRICE AND QUANTITY!
My 13-year-old box turtle, Wonder Woman, loves to gobble these tiny dried shrimp. They provide the protein and calcium she needs to keep her shell and body healthy. I used to buy Wardley's Turtle Treats, but they were discontinued and I have searched for a replacement. These come in a huge 24-ounce zip lock bag and will last her for over a year. Turtles can live up to 30 years and require tender loving care to thrive. I am happy to provide her with a quality brand of her favorite meal that is a super value in price, quantity, and nurturing food.

Loved by my reptiles
I have a Holmes hinged back tortoise, that I adopted. She was well cared for but never fed a protein source. She LOVED them. I sprinkle some on top of her salad and sometimes toss them in a bit. ( tortoises are really smart! They will pick out whatever is their favorite and leave the rest! )She seems much happier now.My Bearded Dragon loves them too!I feed them the same way ( and yes, she is super smart too and will pick them out if she can! ) She will always prefer crickets if I give them but it’s nice to know I have something on hand all the time.Very convenient in a ziplock bag. Is also calcium fortified, which is very important for reptiles.Win win win situation.Highly recommend for ease of use, ease of storage, convenience, and most of all- they eat them !
