Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopoeia 2018 Deluxe Lab-Coat Edition

gets bigger every year, but the content of the book is excellent; my last edition was 2012, so this was a welcome and long-delayed upgrade.In general, much of this information is duplicated in UpToDate, MicroMedex, and an endless series of apps, but I'm stock in the 1600s and I like to read things in books, without need for electricity or screen time.

At the time of writing, the book is already 6 years old and becoming outdated, but for what it covers it's great. Some newer medications are missing but that's to be expected given that it's a printed book. I wish Tarascon would continue publishing in print!

I particularly like the ability to see how much a drug is going to cost before I RX one ($, $$, $$$$) Very helpful. Well organized, and Much More legible than the earlier version with teeny tiny print.

My co-worker had the pocket version of this, but a previous year. I would borrow it when I needed it. I was so excited to get my own. I use this a lot at work, it is so helpful! Very satisfied with all aspects of this purchase. (Shipping, product).

2nd attempt at this review, first one was rejected . I have used Tarascon over many years happily. I ordered this to update my copy. My issue is not with the content but rather with the actual book itself. The copy I received has poor quality printing. It is faded on many pages and really quite difficult to read. Previous editions have been much better. I will be returning it and ordering another. perhaps it was a bad batch , or a bad print run. Either way is not usable.

I buy this book for all my pharmacy interns to use while they are on rotation. They LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! So much easier than going through a million data bases to answer a basic question. I love the vaccination charts, pregnancy/lactation information, and contraindications to ensure you are recommending the appropriate product.

It was a bit larger than I suspected. Had difficulty fitting it in my coat pocket.

A very complete and easy to use reference. I found the reference to be invaluable in keeping up with new meds, risks, side effects.

Book arrived on time but the back cover was bent and all the text in the book is mildly shifted due to misaligned printing/cutting.

This book is not great in kindle format. Wish I could return it.
