The shipment arrived promptly, as promised. The components (wood base and blocks, cards, stringing materials) are all well-made (China) and nicely finished. My 3 year old grandchild will love this toy as there are so many ways she can play with it: stacking pieces alone or on the posts, following the patterns on the cards, stringing blocks for a necklace. I anticipate she will play independently and for fairly long periods of time - ie: stacking according to the designs on the cards. The game is easy to store back in the box. It is suitable for many ages and will promote dexterity. As a side note: no where on the box does it say, "iselyn or Montessori" as stated in the product header. The mention of "Montessori" initially got my attention. After inspecting the product for quality, etc., this no longer matters to me as I can see the value. Makes a nice gift!

This item is not well made. The string piece broke within 20 minutes of opening, and the stand piece seems flimsy. I'm returning.

This was part of a lot of items I bought for my classroom. They have been wonderful for using within our math lessons for variety or tactics and methods for various educational goals. You can do patterns, sorting or colors and counting. This is smaller then some similar toys but that's helpful in the classroom for fitting more things organized and fitting into the lack of space we have.
