I got the 6-ft version of it to use on my boat caught a real big red fish on it held up the only drawback is the decorative piece that goes on where the real is inserted broke now I have no recourse now I have a broken Pole

I really like the weight and feel of this rod. It is significantly smaller and lighter than my other 8' MH rods. I'm not even sure I'd call it a MH, but I have used it trolling with no issues.My biggest issue is that the guide set up appears to be for bait cast, not spinning. Not terribly critical for me as I use it for trolling, but definitely impacts casting ability .

Wasnt sure how good this rod would be if it would last and being inexpensive rod under 40.00 at 8’10” it cast ok doesnt really load up or I didnt really try too heaviest lure 3/4oz caught several bass and a few catfish and when throwing a whopper plopper a 5’ alligator ate it the rod didnt break it held up to short fight till lure with 50 lb line broke the rod held up great to that. Very Happy Now I have 8’10” baitcast and spinning rod ready to go striper fishing.

They misspelled dragon right on the pole. So I have a silver Gragon but it seems pretty sweet.

I have not used the rod yet, and I may come back and add some more information after catching some fish on it and having some experience with casting and trolling. I am giving it five stars, since I feel it is a good value for the money. It is not fair to compare this to a $200 fishing rod.When I wrote this review, one could select from eight different rods -- four spinning rods and four bait casting rods. This makes it challenging if you are relying on reviews, since they are all lumped together. It can even make it difficult to know what you are ordering, since some sellers use the same images and descriptions when they combine different items on the same Amazon listing.The seller provides a chart showing the features of the eight rods, but it is is of limited value -- all rods are medium heavy, all should use 8 lb to 14 lb test line, lure weights 3/16 to 1/2 oz, all are "twin-tip", and all are recommended for "salmon, pike, catfish." To me, it seems unlikely that all the rods ranging in length from 5' 11" to 8' 10" would have the same recommendations for line weight and lure weights.I would say my rod is a medium heavy, but I can't guarantee that is true for the other seven.This is a two piece rod and it has an extra tip section, a thin case, a rod tip protector, and a Velcro strap. I wish it had a keeper near the handle to keep hooks, but that is easy to add with a small zip tie. The guides on my rod are smaller than I expected, but it still seems like this rod is a good value, especially with the extra tip.
