i want to stick cut out circular card printed inner dials into a metal clock. is this suitable for card onto aluminium/metal?

I have no doubt that UHU will stick card to metal. However it will require some care to get an even coat and correct placement. Photo spray mount will be much easier to apply and, I think from memory, some movement which should assist placement. Buy some of both, do some trials and see which you prefer.

Would this be suitable for watch straps, glasses etc., where prolonged skin contact is likely?

Sorry, but this is only something your dermatologist can answer. If this would be my situation I would buy a small tube of Uhu since it is the best glue ever even others claim to be so. then I would try it on my hand and see whether my skin reacts. But that's just my way of dong it
