I saw reviews mentioning how small it is. Does it grow and get bigger?

I purchased one and I sent it as a gift to my aunt and another city she did send me a picture of it and it was small but that was 4 weeks ago and she said it's just flourishing now it's unlike I knew it would it's an ivy All ivys need is a little water little sunlight very little care and it's bound to grow. She's having to repot it to give it room to grow more, but it looks just like in the picture except for the size but it'll get there and beyond! If I had it to do it all over again I would have purchased two.
