Unit works well BUT craftsmanship fit & finish is NOT very good.
I installed this a an early 80's craftsman 10" table saw with cast iron top & wings. Had to modify back rail (cut a notch & reweld) to accommodate my original top see thru blade guard. Otherwise it would not raise but half way. It's a little finicky to get setup, but once setup & locked in it is rock solid & holds it adjustments & settings. My biggest problem with it was that for the expense & it is pricey, That the fit & finish should have been better & when it arrived it looked like it had gone by Yak over the himalayas. A small box of hardware (nuts & bolts) were missing & it had about 2 rolls of duct tape & a roll of USPS tape TRYING to hold the rest of the box together. Surprisingly enough , after 30 minutes getting all of the tape off, the contents of the box were not damaged. Just a small box of hardware missing. After contacting Amazon about it, they said the ONLY thing they could do was refund my money for it AFTER I shipped it back ($115.00) & they inspected it for missing or damaged parts. (My complaint being MISSING PARTS) I went to hardware store & bought missing nuts & bolts ($19.00) & fabricated 2 ¾" L brakets & a can of spray paint. ($4.00) Total w/L bracket material $25.00. After 3½ hrs of cleaning out & chasing thread holes, deburring most of the edges after several cuts to hands & applying some spray paint where needed, it was in reasonable condition for assembly. After a somewhat tedious assembly, the unit works very well. Were it NOT for ALL of the fit & finish work that had to be done, I would have given it 5 stars. Thankfully I had worked for several years in a metal Fab shop & knew how to do all of the needed work. Would I purchase again, probably, but not for the same price if I had to do all of the fit & finish work again. Without having to chase all of the threads , I would NOT have even been able to assemble it & all of the deburring is just shoddy. Most reviews on this from these people also state most of the same facts. Poor quality fit & finish. My experience & my opinion. Have a good day.

What any table saw needs to be an accurate cutting machine. With quality field modifications
3 stars because of the price vs quality of milled parts they give you. Specifics below.I read the other reviews before purchasing and knew about the quality issues. They are real issues, as I suspected, but anyone with common sense and some “fix it” ability can make this work just the way you need it. The milling of the guide bar supports and fence attachment spacers was definitely an afterthought by the manufacturer. $400 and this is what you produce and sell? Really?I installed this on a Ridgid TS3650. The front guide supports went on perfectly with the holes and screw locations that were on the cast iron table. The rear rail did not. Instead of drilling and tapping the one hole I needed to modify into the cast iron, I drilled the hole in the rear guide rail instead to match what I had on the table. I did have to remove one of the front and rear rail extension table supports and when I reattach them, I would only be able to use one of the two screw holes unless I drill and tap the rails to accommodate a new second screw. When attaching the rip fence to the base, the crappy aluminum spacers they give you aren’t tall enough to get the fence in a proper position 1/16” above the table. I could have raised the front supports but then the supports would be above the height of the saw table. Instead, I picked up (32) 5/16” washers and super glued them together in groups of 8. I used a caliper to measure what I needed for clearance. Do not super glue the spacers onto the fence or the base. Utilize the 4 screws they give you and tighten very firm. (This part is paramount to having a square fence. Take the time to get it right. Don’t rush)All in all, it’s a good purchase and has turned my table saw into a precision cutting machine.I’ll say it again, $400 for the quality they’re putting out is a damn shame. I hope it isn’t made in America. I would be embarrassed, if it was.

A very good fence system
A very good fence system. I would give it 5 stars if it cost less. The fence works great and always locks parallel to the saw blade.. My old fence required several checks and adjustments to get it locked parallel to the saw blade. I installed the fence system on Craftsman table saw that was purchased about 25 years ago. I positioned the fence front and back rails so the fence is usable on both the right and left side of the saw blade. Installation of the rails in this manner required drilling holes in the left cast iron table extension. I was surprised how easy it was to drill holes in cast iron. Before investing in this fence system for an old table saw check the spindle run out and blade parallelism to the the table slots. The fence will not help a table saw that is worn out or out of adjustment.

High quality, heavy duty pro piece of gear. An incredible upgrade to your low priced contractor saw.
This is the real deal. I had no idea how big and robust this thing is, but the FedEx guy showed up with this huge (6 ft tall) box that he had trouble carrying. I thought it was a mistake, that Vega had drop shipped me the larger model by mistake. Not so, it is just big and very very robust.I have installed it on a Porter Cable contractor saw. I thought that the assembly would be too heavy for the small contractor saw but not so. With careful installation that involved removing the old fence and also table extension locking mechanism, it installed perfectly and works perfectly. There is DIY to be done here in many cases, you have to be able to measure accurately and think as you work. Anyone who is in the market for this kind of product likely already has those skills.it can be adjusted so it just skims the top of the table, less than a MM above so it is aligned perfectly and glides back and forth effortlessly. Right out of the box it is absolutely parallel to the saw blade and miter slot. No adjustment needed.I'm not sure where the whinging in other reviews regarding quality and finish come from. I experienced none of that. Well built and looks good. Saw used to be a chore to use and required constant measuring to be sure the cuts were straight, now it is effortless and cuts are repeatable.
