Well! - what a case / Chassis Just beautiful!
NZXT Phantom 410 Mid Tower Chassis with 2x 120/1x 140 mm Fans - GunmetalI had a choice with my new PC build - whether to use my old Dell 360i case (which is undoubtedly a beautiful case but the MOBO died) or buy another. The 'another' (after much research) arrived this morning (two days after ordering it - I love Amazon) - big beautiful box with a white Storm Trouper photo on it - My immediate reaction was 'Oh my god!' wrong colour. Checked on the label and it said 'gunmetal' and I experienced pure relief.Opening it up and the quality just hit me - what a beautiful case. I have read so many reviews on this 410 and its larger brother - glad I didn't buy the larger one as this has plenty of room in it.The quality of the internals was as beautiful as the exterior - my wife says 'it is like something from a science fiction movie' it is elegant to say the least - like a piece of top quality sculpture. The panels are just so easy to remove and I installed my fans with ease - I have read that the spacings for fans from alternative (non-NXTZ) didn't fit which was a bit of a concern, however all of my fan's screw spacings fitted perfectly and there are screw holes for different sizes of fans in all of the places that fans are needed. I used Noctua fans and some old fans from SilentPC - so I would guess that any fit fine.I can honestly say that I have never been so delighted with a PC chassis/case - I am not into looking at PCs and saying 'wow that is beautful' but this case has beauty and functionality and seriously has the 'Wow' factor. Gunmetal is the way to go - it exudes quality.I installed my PSU from an old PC and the screw holes aligned no problem, the optical 5.25 drives were a dream to install - slide them in and lock with the clever clasps - no screws. My one issue was the soft rubber grommets that surrounds the PSU cable ports through to the back (below the motherboard) - very very soft and not glued or fixed - pushing cables through them made the grommets come away from the case - I had read that this would happen - the rubber isn't fixed and is too soft (I would have thought that NXTZ would have realised that). But this is such a minor issue considering the overall beautiful manufacture of the case.My motherboard hasn't arrived yet but I am excited that I have purchased the right case - it is excellent and exudes thoughtful design and is aesthetically attractive - a case that will house your build with ease and you would be proud to show to your mother-in-law - or your wife (in my case) LOL.A great case - if in doubt - just buy it.

The Case to Build any Custom Computer With
Before we decided on this Case, we did about 2 weeks worth ofreading and checking online. However the best for us was the Phantom 410.It has plenty of space and options inside, plus with it's well designed cable managementit looks really good through the side window, no mess or cables everywhere, just perfect.Any negatives?Well I do not think any product could be without any if you look very close, so the one thingthat could be a bit better thought through is how the case lid and sides, especially thetop which if you pull it hard could be damaged. The design is great for building a powerful computer that requires a liquid cooler, it fits right underthe top casing so nothing ugly sticks out.We used the Corsair H100i which fit perfect for this case. & Plenty of videos online to show you how to install

NZXT Phantom 410 Case
First impressions of the case were that it was well built and well designed allowing the user easy access to the case for maintenance as well as being simple to fit components into. The case disassembles very easily, almost everything coming off smoothly with no snagging; the side panels fit very well and slide on and off smoothly. The front and top panel also come off very easily and feel like they are made out of very high quality plastic. I also found that the on/reset button and the usb/audio ports being attached to the metal case rather than the panel to be convenient(my previous NZXT case had these attached to the panel meaning you could not gain full access underneath the panel)on the front panel the door for the DVD drive is a little stiff and has to be pushed in the center quite firmly to release. So far very cool temperatures with a GTX 470 running at 45 degrees idol and my AMD phenom ii 955 running at 37 degrees idol(could be cooler but having some issues with the CPU fan so nothing to do with the case) and plenty of space for anyone with water cooling. As the cause is very spacious inside coupled with excellent cable management(the rubber guards on some of the holes are not fixed in place, I didn't find this to be a problem) allowing most cables to be behind the motherboard and out the way allowing for maximum air flow. Only really had minor problems with the case, which are that the hard drive bays were a little tricky to fit the drive to, only took a couple of minutes though so no big deal for me and the thumb screws were quite stiff and i had to use a screwdriver to loosen them. I also found that the fan controller doesn't work, but this is most likely caused by the lack of molexes from my PSU and i will update this when i have the funding to replace the PSU, this means that one of the two molexes the case requires is not plugged in(it was either that or no graphics card - cheap PSU). I also found that some parts of the case were slightly sharp and managed to get a minor scratch no big deal either. Other than a few minor niggles an excellent buy and very impressed by the improvements NZXT have made to their cases and probably wont consider getting a new PC case for quite some time. As usual thank you Amazon for excellent delivery services.Summary:Pros:- Very spacious- Excellent cable management, all my cables bar 2 go behind the motherboard and you are provided with zip ties enabling you to tie any loose cables in place- Looks great- Plenty of fan Slots and easy to fit the fans, nice cool temps- Very easy to fit components in, very easy to quickly change the cpu heatsink- The ports on the top are not attached to the plastic cover but the metal case itself, just a nice feature in my opinion.Cons:- I didn't find the hard drive bays particularly easy to put drives in(I may have been doing it wrong, and only a minor problem anyway)- I cant get the fan controller to work(I actually didn't have enough molexes to plug both of the case molexes in, probably caused by this)- Personally find the dvd door a little stiff as well as the thumb screws(which have screw heads as well so no big deal) - just a minor niggleIf your budget is up to £100 for a case this is an excellent candidate very impressed with the case well worth £80 that I paid for it.

great case with only minor faults
bought this case for my first build and I have to say its really great, the removable hard-drive bay makes installation a breeze and the optical drive installation is equally easy requiring no tools at all. I used an atx form motherboard and there is loads of room to the right of the board for cable management and plenty of space behind the motherboard for further cable management. The only mild issues I have with the case is the relatively small clearance above the motherboard for the power connectors and the fact that the case comes with a new sort of usb 3 connector for the front mounted usb ports that my motherboard doesn't support. So if your thinking of buying this case and rely heavily on usb 3 front mounted ports for whatever reason, make sure you're motherboard is compatible or be ready to buy an adapter/make do with only usb 2 front mounted ports.
