HiFiGo DUNU Alpha 3 1DD Earbuds, Single 14.2mm Dynamic Driver in-Ear Earphones with Hi-Res Certification and Wide Sound Stage (4.4mm)

By no means am I a professional at this audio stuff. I've been using Apple earbuds(the one that looks like airpods, not the flathead one.) for years and thought it was time to upgrade. The difference between the two is there, though honestly not by much. I like the flathead and how you can easily wear it and hear external noise.For me I had to use the cushion for them to stay perfectly in my ears. They give you a good amount of spares.The build quality is superb, absolutely amazing. It's exactly how I'd imagine the built quality of this price range. Buds have weight to them but not enough to fatigue your ears.Overall from a regular consumer, I can tell they're better than what I was using before which was your typical apple earbuds that cost like $40. But honestly not by much. Would I buy again? No, most likely not. Then again, there's not a lot of competition in these type of earbuds. The market is all IEMs and headphones. So I will be keeping these for the next couple of years.

First few hours with the Dunu Alpha 3 and it's a keeper. Some initial observations: In a word, the sound is warm and comfy. They are every bit as detailed as you'd expect for the price point. The treble reminds me of the Blessing 2, not as extended as some more expensive sets so it could be perceived as a bit rolled off, but just enough bite to allow female vocals to grab you with some excitement and ride cymbals sound pleasingly splashy. I don't possess the vocabulary and skill to give this a proper review, but the tuning leaves me with plenty of bass (the extra chamber and vents help it quite a bit I think). I don't get the feeling male vocals are at all recessed. I could see what some say where the mid-bass might be a touch boomy, but for me certainly doesn't detract from anything! With full foams the presentation was a bit too dark and so "donuts" seem to be the best.

For $70 this is a great bang for your buck package. DUNU uses a high quality cable and adds in what feels like a luxurious amount of accessories in today’s market.You get an aesthetically pleasing high quality case, multiple foams, and even a small cleaning kit.The surround sound design feels very open and breathable compared to the directness of IEMs, and when you find that sweet spot in your ear it’s a surprisingly full sound. There’s a great soundstage and imaging, making it suitable for gaming as well. Detail retrieval is clean for the price point and style. For a flathead, while the bass is lacking in comparison to an IEM, it is still acceptable and more pronounced than I expected.If you’re in the market for a flathead over an IEM you probably have your reasons, and these do not disappoint.Regarding the customer service from HiFiGo - I had an issue upon delivery but they were kind and cleared it up swiftly and efficiently for me. I received a new product and was very pleased with the whole experience.This is another win for DUNU and a win for the seller HiFiGo as well.Highly recommend!

Sounds great, but I ordered the 4.4mm version, and got the 3.5mm version. Decided to keep them, the sound great, have a good cable, and are comfortable.

Super impressed by these. Took me a second to get used to buds again, but honestly, I’ve been really enjoying this set. Every time I put them in my ears I pretend I’m Baby from Baby Driver (that film slaps).But in all seriousness, these compete and in some instances clean wipe the floor with all IEM’s in and around this price point. They obviously don’t fit as secure as an in-ear set, but the trade off is you don’t have to worry about finding a set of tips that fit your ear, which makes these a great gift. Way easier for non-audiophiles to just plug them in and enjoy rather than trying to explain to someone how to get a good seal and all that fun stuff.Anyways, really impressed by the tuning, bass response, and even the imaging is pretty great for being inside of your ear.

The sound is incredible! I wish all my IEms sounded like this. The entire frequency range is impressive but the bass is tremendous! However, my God they hurt my ears. The only way to get full sound is for the flat part to go straight in, and man that hurts. If you twist to the side they not only fall out easily but you lose all bass. So unless there’s a better way to use these, flat and painful is all you get.I got the 4mm version to use with my Ifi Go Blu, what a combo! Sounds great but after 10 minutes I can’t do it anymore. Too bad…. these could be a total winner but I would send these back if I could. I should have watched the return window better because these are going to sit on my desk collecting dust.
