ICEMANS THUNDER Maraschino Cherries with Stems, 74 Ounce Jar - Gift Box/Snack Pack

A recipe based on an Italian tradition. This must be done no later than June. Empty the liquid from the cherries. Place the cherries in 8 oz. Jelly jars. Fill the jar with crème de cocoa. Close the jars. You are finished. The cherries marinate and pick up the cocoa taste. These do not have to be refrigerated. Just place them on the shelf and let them sit. The longer they sit, they become stronger with the cocoa flavoring. Tradition states that these are served on Christmas Eve by the head of household. If you are a young person and are offered one, you are recognized as having reached maturity. These make nice small gifts when invited to someone’s home at Christmastime.

Love the size. I make lots of desserts and homemade ice cream. It's wonderful and lasts me several months...

Once i open this jar i have no way to reseal it the lids broken

The flavor was the same as I expected when I purchased the product directly from Sam's Club. The cover on the jar was broken and leaked. The jar was only half full of cherries.

My mother in law needed some and couldn’t find them anywhere, it was more expensive than last time but worth it to get the chocolate covered cherries she made!
