Is this food made by a parent company or is Solid Gold the manufacturer?

Solid Gold is a privately owned company, while we do not own the facilities we use, we own our formulas and are in charge of all ingredient sourcing and quality control. We have used the same facilities for decades and have long standing relationships with them.

I have a picky chihuahua. i would like to try this food. if she won't eat it, can i get a refund? i will donate to a shelter?

If you buy from Petco I do know they will take the bag back if it is still 3/4 full. I don’t know about Amazon

Does this food have any GMO's?

We choose to source natural, organic ingredients, but our products are not non-GMO verified.

Is it okay to heat dry kibble in a skillet on the stove with water?

I have 2 senior chihuahuas. I do add a little filtered water to enhance it, also add a spoonful of pumpkin, unsweetened applesauce, chopped fresh frozen green beans and maybe some carrot or other good for them goodies, low calorie, if I have them. I don't do these additions because you need to, I do it for variety and health for them. They clean their bowls every time, even if it is plain. Sometimes I warm the water a little on cold days. One of my chi's has had cancerous tumors removed, and I feel top nutrition is required. This lamb formula is slightly more calories than the others, so I adjust amounts accordingly if they have some undesired weight gain.
