Great replacement for an existing double socket and has eliminated the need for separate mobile device chargers which are often left plugged in, using albeit a small amount of energy (it all adds up however ) and eventually conk out. Also of course frees up a socket for other devices some which may only be temporary such as a vacuum cleaner.Good product, straightforward to fit - since however you are dealing with mains sockets, you really do have to know and understand what you are doing. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.

I have to be honest with this product I went for the lowest price of what I was looking for and I am dissapointed, these do what they are supposed to, they work and provide power to the USB ports which I can use even with a plug plugged in however I feel that these are factory seconds hence the price...The sockets are sold as white, I bought 2 and neither are pure white, one is discoloured all across the body, it looks like a marbled smoke damage pattern which just looks dirty and cannot be cleaned off as its in the plastic. The other socket is alot whiter however the switches are very dirty looking. I am glad I only ordered 2, i put one in the garage where dirt does not matter and the other behind the sofa but I originally wanted these for the bedrooms so will now have to order more but will be paying a bit more!

I have installed this product and found it remarkably easy, the connection points being positioned very similar to the socket I was removing. What I have found is the ampage of the USB ports is higher than the charge adaptor I was using, but not quite as strong as the fast charger for my 7 Edge. So if like me I want to have the option to fast charge when needed, like to slow charge my phone to give (hopefully) longer life to the battery, so the USB ports on this thing are either a pro or a con depending on your viewpoint.For me there is another con, but I guess this is dependent on the positioning of the socket in relation to other furniture is the USB ports are tricky to insert cables into, this is not a fault of the socket but of where I positioned it. If using in a kitchen, this is ideal, if using behind furniture or low level I would go do the versions where the USB ports are at the top and switches below.

Really useful device to have in the kitchen to charge phones and still be able to use the toaster and kettle :-) Easy to fit with the finishing touch of white covers for the screws....will be buying are for the rest of the house

Not a lot you can say about a plug socket but it took only 5 mins to install and works like a charm. That's all you need really.

It's a very tight fit in my backbox, practically had to hammer the thing in. One major irritation I wish I had known about before I bought it is that there are blue LEDs that are always on next to each USB port.
