Performs exactly as expected
I got this to put into a bat plushie so I could make sound files from Dracula Flow and load them up. It would not accept files copies from my Mac but did from my virtual PC. I will note that in addition to deleting the "christmasgreeting" sound file that comes on the device, you also have to delete the file that is in the Recordings folder it will only play that file no matter what you copy to it. Sound quality is good considering the price. I set the volume to 20 to reduce clipping. I also encoded the files at 22000hz mono to reduce load times.

Horrible Quality
I must have recorded twenty different times from several different speakers from several different distances and no matter what the sound was terrible. Filled with static and distortions. You can’t even tell what song has been recorded. Also inexplicably, it plays “wish you a merry Christmas” after whatever you’ve recorded… I was unable to delete this

Tips on tuning and adding mp3 files
Used this as a simple way to integrate music into a toy I made for my niece. Worked very nicely. Easy to disassemble if you just want to use the board in a custom project.Due to the small speaker and amp on this device you will likely run into clipping if you try to upload music directly onto it without first adding compression and normalizing the volume.I did it in audacity. Used the default compression settings on my track, then ran it through the normalizer with a peak amplitude of -9 dB. While you can fiddle with the settings to your liking, repeatedly uploading the files to the device takes a long time due to the slow transfer speed. This solution worked for me to consistently eliminate clipping from my tracks.Good luck with your projects!

Adequate for my application
I bought this to add sound to a diorama and it does the job OK. A few comments about it that some reviewers have had concerns about. You need to set it up with a PC to erase the two audio files that come on it. You plug it in (with the unit's power off). When you switch the power on it appears to your PC as a disk drive. In the root directory there is an mp3 file of a Christmas song. Delete it if you don't want to use it. There is also a sub folder with a rec file of a child singing Happy Birthday. You can delete that file also. There is a config text file in the root directory that you will also probably want to edit. One line controls the playback volume which is set for maximum VOL=30. It was too loud and distorted for me. I changed it to half volume VOL=15. A second line in the config file controls how the push button works in playback per the included written instructions. I set mine to IO=05. For my use I dropped an mp3 into the root directory and the sound quality was adequate, about equivalent of a 1960's six transistor radio. There are a couple of misleading claims in the instructions. They state that the battery charge will last up to 120 days in "standby". I assumed that meant with the power switch on but not playing or recording. When I tested it that way it discharged in only a couple of days. So standby must mean with the power switch fully off. They also claim that these units are used in Build-a-Bear stuffed animals. I find that difficult to understand since the Build-a-Bear sound units are sewed in and last for years without the need to recharge or change batteries. As long as you understand its limitations, this product is easy to use and does a good job.

Expensive with low quality speaker
The sound quality is pretty loud but the performance is kind of hard to understand. It is really easy to add video onto the device and to record and delete audio. It can store way more than I needed and it was pretty expensive for the size and quality of the speaker.

Great product
I love how you can upload clips from the computer, used these to put a voice mail from my grandmother who pasted away a few years back into a bear for my family.

Disappointing Quality and Limited Functionality
I purchased the JRGKJCP 16 Minutes Voice Recorder, hoping to add a personalized touch to my children's plush toys. Unfortunately, this product fell short of my expectations in several ways.Firstly, the recording quality was extremely poor, resulting in muffled and distorted playback. The sound was barely audible, making it difficult to understand the custom messages I had recorded. Additionally, the 16-minute recording limit felt restrictive and limited the potential for creativity and personalization.Furthermore, the design of the voice recorder was flimsy and prone to breaking easily. The buttons were unresponsive at times, making it frustrating to navigate through the limited features available. The overall build quality was subpar, and I have concerns about the longevity of this product. In conclusion, I would not recommend the Voice Recorder to anyone looking to add custom messages to their plush toys. The poor recording quality, limited functionality, and flimsy design make this product a disappointing purchase.
