Saves time and money! Works great for short term rentals!!
We have 5 airbnb properties. 4 are individual cabanas and we use the Breeze Max to keep an eye on temperatures in each of them and not worry about losing remotes or batteries going out. The other 4 Breeze Max are all in our 2-bedroom loft where there are 4 inside units and only 1 outside unit. All of the units have to be in same MODE or they do not work - which is hard to explain to guests. The Max allow us to use their Multi-Zone function to tie them all together and keep them ALL in same MODE. I can also save a preset for away, so when we do not have any guests staying we can put the units in AWAY mode to save energy. So far, all is working great & customer service has been phenominal!! The units look great and are very easy to setup and use.

Excellent option for adding a remote thermostat and amazing aftersales service
I recently had a Mitsubishi mini-split system installed with two indoor air handler units. I wanted the benefits of wall mounted thermostats for the units (opposed to simple remotes) but my installer told me the Mitsubishi thermostats were pricey and performance was questionable. I researched aftermarket options and settled on the Cielo Breez Max purchasing two units (one for each floor). Setup was easy, mounting each one next to the hard-wired thermostats for my baseboard heat. Both units easily learned my remotes (with one exception I'll explain below) and were up and running in minutes. The app was easy to set up on my iPhone. The thermostats have significant capabilities, as such there is a bit of a learning curve. I initially set up a basic schedule for each unit without issue. I had a couple of questions about setting up the Comfy mode so I went to the Cielo site and clicked on the chat, within minutes I was chatting with Scott and he gave me a call. He answered all my questions and stayed on the line until he was sure everything was working fine. A few days later as I was fine tuning my programing, I noticed one of the functions of my downstairs air handler was not operating as expected. My downstairs unit is larger than the upstairs one and has the ability to direct airflow side to side, that function was not available on the Cielo thermostat. I again went to chat on the Cielo site and again within minutes I was talking to a tech support representative (unfortunately I don't remember his name). As with my first call the rep worked with me while he figured out the correct programing to update my thermostat to operate my Mitsubishi unit. I am fairly immersed in the Alexa environment and installed the Cielo skill in my Alexa app. My intention was to use the Cielo thermostat to trigger an Alexa routing to turn on a couple of fans when my downstairs unit turns on to circulate the heat. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a way to do this. Though Alexa can see and control the thermostats it cannot use the thermostats to trigger routines. Back to the chat and a call from Cielo support, once again I was speaking to Scott. He worked with me for a while and came to the conclusion that at this time Alexa cannot use the thermostats to trigger a routine. He said he will pass that information along so hopefully in the future that will be an option. I do believe however that that will have to be addressed by Amazon. I can't speak to long term durability and haven't used many of the capabilities but so far the product has performed as advertised at a reasonable price. I have found the best quality of Cielo though is their after-sales support. Three times now I've used their chat feature and within minutes I'm talking to a knowledgeable, polite person that doesn't appear to be watching a clock trying to move onto the next call. Great product and great service, what more can you ask for?

Great for mobile home etc. SAVE $$ If you have mobility issues link Amazon device for VOICE control.
Hi folks, this is long, but if you want good info, this is for you. Just an honest review, with hope it helps other cost and environmentally conscious consumers, and hope it may assist those with less mobilty. I am not paid for this review. Writing reviews is really not my thing, I am old school and more word of mouth. But, the Cielo company has more than EARNED this review. I am HIGHLY IMPRESSED with Cielo employees, products, and their customer service. And, I am not at all easy to impress. 1) Cielo ANSWERS their PHONES in a timely manner! And, they truly will call you back! There may be a slight delay, while they work on your issues, but they have always called back. It’s okay for for you ring them too, and they will courteously update you of the progress. 2) Customer Service is EXCELLENT! I have never had any issues with CS, they have always been real and professional. But remember the customer needs to be polite and civil too. Dont be a lame bully! 3) Cielo seriously backs their products! Cielo will WORK HARD to resolve any issues, and take CARE of their CUSTOMERS. 4) Cielo is an up and coming technology & CUSTOMER FOCUSED company achieving numerous AWARDS. 5) Cielo products I own have helped me SAVE water, electricity, and will turn on/off in Comfy Mode and that rests & cools the cooler motor too. Saves me from getting up & down, for remote or on/off human operation, all while providing steady comfort. (I can barely walk sometimes, this is critical to be able to link the Cielo Breeze MAX to Amazon Echo and be able to control on/off by VOICE. My cooler is really basic, so I can only do on/off by voice. But, if you own a more advanced cooler & remote you can call Cielo and ask what yours may be able to do.) From someone who can barely stand at times in excruciating pain, or barely lift my arms, this Cielo Breeze MAX, VOICE CONTROL is VERY IMPORTANT for those with less mobility. 6) Folks, Cielo GETS IT. Cielo understands good solid professional customer service & business! You know that thing, consumers are so sick and tired and frustrated about when dealing with other companies. Long call waits, being brushed aside or even hung up on. Not even trying to resolve your issue. And then your lunch hour is up, nothing resolved. I have not come anywhere close to any of those negative issues stated above with Cielo. Cielo understands customer service! Here is my real life experiences with Cielo… Having spoken with numerous employees at Cielo from CS reps to a supervisor and manager, no where did the service ever falter, as it has been excellent at all levels. At first, my cooler was not on their list. So when I contacted them, it took a few days, but the techs were able to add it to their system, and it has worked with this cooler ever since. (Thanks Cielo!). Cielo has also asked me for photos of my remote control etc., and I was pleased to assist. We as a team (Yeah, Cielo & customer, that’s cool!) were able to provide the Cielo Breeze capability to more coolers that consumers own. So don’t hesitate to give Cielo a call, if you don’t see your cooler, split AC, etc. on their list. Be a teammate and help others get access to these great products, and make the call. Cielo is very CUSTOMER FOCUSED, so If you ever have any issues with your product, call them. Again, I have made a prep list of questions prior to the call, so I can be focused and precise, then called about the product functions. Cielo reps were patient with my questions, and they clearly explained some of the functions don’t work with my real basic cooler. They also shared with me ways to better utilize the Cielo Breeze MAX Comfy mode & schedules. If needed, they went over somethings multiple times, because I am one of those, that one answer may trigger another needed applicable question. Heck, even when I was ready to buy, they assisted me with where they thought I could buy it at a lower price, even though their website did have a sale. They referred me to Amazon. What a great company! They did not try and suck me into a higher dollar purchase. Team work, gotta love it! The bottom line folks, from what I have experienced Cielo is a solid professional company! You can even have a giggle with the CS reps, yeah they are real! (Not Ai). I have been monitoring the comapny their products, and hope to purchase more Cielo products in the future. BUY CIELO PRODUCTS with CONFIDENCE! Do you think they will hire me after this? Hope you’re giggling, but most of all I hope this helps someone, and SAVE consumers $$$. Also hope it helps lighten the electrical grid load. Whew! Environmental changes are real!

Turn you mini-split into a maxi-split
I bought these units for for both my home and a rental property. I love the control it enables remotely through wifi. I found the temperature and humidity readings are accurate as well. It is nice to either have the ability to use the remote control or control the mini-split with the Cielo's screen, or your phone, obviously. One of my mini-splits may have been older and the Cielo wouldn't accept the remote's programming (also out of the country). Erik in customer support was extremely helpful and found an internal company setting that would enable the functionality. He stayed on the line to ensure every setting on the Cielo controlled the mini-split correctly. Even calling me back a few days later to see if I had any other issues! A++ Another best part, is I haven't experienced a wait for customer service yet, very rare nowadays... I like the Comfy feature the best, it allows the ability to turn off/on (completely power down) the unit at set temperatures (one mini-split runs its fan even though the compressor is not cooling). Comfy Max is similar, but works much like your thermostat on an HVAC system, heat when below a set point and cool above a set point, but does have the ability to set humidity levels. The Cielo Max also allows for IFTTT, which I plan to incorporate at the rental property so when a door is left open beyond a certain time, the unit will power down, saving me money not cooling the outdoors! Erik said please call back when I get ready to install the door sensors and program Cielo. The best part is this feature is not subscription based, which is what I found with other controllers I looked at. Now, to my understanding, the company that owns IFTTT may have charges for greater than a few sensors or for a faster reaction time, but I'll review all that when I set it up. At night you can control the screen, leaving the backlight for a nice night light. Or off in the bedroom. Completely a 5 star product and customer service!

If they survive shipping, they're good.
So far the product seems to be working very well. I've got 3 set up as a group to control a multi-head mini-split system. Very quick installation. They connected to my WiFi easily and I've been able to access and make adjustments remotely without issue. The biggest issue I had (minus one star), was the fact that it took almost a month to receive them. Two were damaged in shipment, but instead of Amazon or the supplier sending 2 more right away, they just cancelled the order. I also got these at a low price (originally) but when I had to ask for replacements the price had gone up, so I had to waste time with Amazon customer support. Thankfully they issued gift cards to credit me for the price difference, but that should be an easier process too. Very happy with the product so far, but the shipping and pricing process was not the best.

Finally, a true smart controller for mini splits
After trying two other smart controllers (Sensibo and SwitchBot), I can confidently say the Cielo Breeze Max is by far the best option on the market. The other brands worked okay but were inconsistent, limited, and still felt like you were hacking together a solution for mini splits. Cielo finally delivers a product that gives mini split owners a proper central air thermostat experience. The app is intuitive, scheduling is simple, and I finally have full control over temperature set points to maximize energy efficiency. No more fumbling with clunky remotes or worrying if the system actually received the command. The Breeze Max is responsive, reliable, and just works. It feels like a real thermostat should. If you’re serious about making your mini split system smarter, more consistent, and more efficient, stop experimenting like I did and go straight to the Cielo Breeze Max. Worth every penny.

Must for any mini split operation
Excellent item to control indoor unit of the mini split. Easy to install needs power mounts on the wall or table top. Must have line of sight to indoor unit. Can control from the thermostat, or phone, or voice Alexa/google. No need for original hand held remote. Phone app easy to use very efficient. Exciting addition to the mini split operation. I purchased to operate the mini split prior to arriving to the property.

Great Concept, Frustrating Execution – Why I Can’t Recommend the Breez Max
I really wanted to like the Breez Max. On paper, it’s the perfect solution for anyone looking to modernize "dumb" heaters or AC units. I was so invested in the idea that I purchased three of them to manage the climate across multiple rooms in my home remotely. Unfortunately, after extensive use, the experience has been a series of frustrations. The Fatal Flaw: A One-Way Conversation * The most significant issue is the hardware's fundamental design. The Breez Max controls your heater via Infrared (IR), which creates a massive communication gap. * No Feedback Loop: Because IR is a one-way signal (like a TV remote), there is no "handshake" between the device and the heater. * The "Ghost" Heater: I have frequently encountered situations where the app claims the heater is "On," but the room is freezing because the signal missed. Conversely, I’ve found the heater running at full blast when the device insisted it was "Off." * Zero Logic: The device seems to have no internal intelligence to verify if a command was successful (e.g., checking if the room temperature actually changes after a command is sent). A UI Built on Frustration The user interface is the polar opposite of "intuitive." While companies like Nest have mastered the simple thermostat, Breez Max feels like a puzzle. * Cryptic Icons: The screen is cluttered with icons that are impossible to decipher without keeping the manual nearby. * Dead-End Features: The software logic is baffling. For example, you can create ComfyMax templates, but there is no way to delete them once they are made. * The "Preset" Paradox: The app allows you to change a preset for a heater, yet there is no place in the interface to actually define or edit what those presets are. It feels like half-finished software. * Vanishing Data: During a recent app refresh, the developers seemingly ignored backwards compatibility—all of my carefully set schedules simply vanished. --- Unreliable and Unpredictable For a device marketed for "remote control," its ability to stay connected and behave predictably is subpar. * Frequent Dropouts: The units lose Wi-Fi connectivity constantly, often staying offline for several hours before randomly reconnecting. * Spontaneous Activation: Most alarming is that the device randomly turns on the heater even when it was previously off and there is no active schedule. This isn't just a bug; it's a safety and cost concern. Whether it's "noise" on the circuit or a software glitch, a smart controller should never act on its own without a trigger. Final Verdict The Breez Max tries to solve a real problem but fails on the basics of reliability and usability. Between the lack of a feedback loop, the confusing UI, and the ghost-like behavior of the heater turning on by itself, it creates more work and anxiety than it saves.
