Cascade 500/700/1000/12000/15000 Canister Filter Generic Bio Floss and Bio Sponge Value Packs

I compared the size to an original Penn Plax floss filter and these are exactly the same size. Not even a millimeter difference on either side or in the hole diameter.Will be buying these again in the future without hesitation.Be aware they do not come in a box. Mine came in a plain white plastic shipping bag with the label slapped on the outside. It appears the sender merely counts out the necessary number of filters, seals the bag, applies shipping labels and plops it in the mail But who cares! These are extremely inexpensive compared to buying them at the local pet store.

Updated rating from 5 to 3 after months of use. The filter media is not the same filtering as Penn Plax, leaving uneven areas clean and other area of filter. Does not filter properly.Purchased for the price, but not purchasing again.

Do not fit as well as original filter. They have at least a 1/4 inch gap all the way around on my Penn Plax 15000. That is a lot of unfiltered space total when six tiers are used. Good quality materials but cut much too short on all 4 sides. Will use what I have but will not order again.

I use these in my Cascade 1200 and they fit great. I'm glad I bought the big pack because I change one per month and it's nice to have them on hand. (My filter is set up with 3 of them at various layers.) No issues. Will definitely reorder.

Sadly these don’t fit my PenPlax Elite 1000 very well. When the pads are installed in the tray over the tube, that area around the tube fits perfectly but the outer perimeter of the pad isn’t up to the edges of the tray anywhere else. There’s a 1/8 ths inch gap that lets water flow around the edge bypassing the white biomass pads and the black sponge filter too.

Get these over the name brand. I can't tell the difference between then, and with messy turtles, I go through a lot of them, so the savings is great!

I bought these for the Cascade 1000 canister filter and they work awesome. The filters fit perfectly and are more durable than the filters that came from Cascade.
