Very effective kill trap
I've been overwhelmed with chipmunks all summer, digging in all my flower beds and pots. I decided to try these kill traps as my last resort. They easy to set once you really pay attention to the directions. Be sure to load bait FIRST , then set trap. I caught one within the first hour after putting them out. I'm impressed with how quickly they snap shut which makes catching them fast and gives them a quick end. Good construction and I'm confident they will be easy to clean and use them over and over. The 6 pack is generous to cover lots of ground. I would definitely recommend if you need to be free of small rodents. Update: after using these a few months I have a tip to share. I lost a trap under my porch because the chipmunk was able to drag it off. So consider where you place them for easy retrieval. I solved this by using the small hole at the back of the trap, threading small wire through and securing it to the porch. No more dragging my traps where I can't get them. Hope this helps others dealing with the same issue. These traps work great, easy to reset and very affordable!

Great for catching unwanted critters.
These were great for chipmunks and mice! Super easy to set with simply opening the bait lid, place the bait in side the trap, then close and set. I’ve used them lots of times and and they still are very sensitive. I like that they have a little hole in the back to tie a string to which can then be tied to secure the trap. I recommend and would buy again.

Love these and Chip and Dale are no longer
This year I have caught over 20+ Chipmunks with these. They are great and can't say enough good things about them. Easy to bait and set up and dispose of the critters. One day I caught one almost every hour and now I have not seen a single one. I have had 2 traps break for some reason; plastic part snapped off. I didn't contact the maker since I have several others but it's nice to have them set in garage and outside. I would buy them again.

Great trap for any rodent
We purchased this for an old house we are renovating that had a known rodent problem. We had seen evidence of larger rodents. This works well for not only mice but had also caught chipmunks who have made their home inside the house. The traps are easy to set and result in no mess to set or to clean after catching rodents. They are much better than the traditional wooden traps. My only negative would be that because they are plastic the mice have chewed the good cup area on at least one trap

Highly recommend
Very effective, love this style of trap. The size was perfect and they see easy to bait and set. Safe enough a cold can set them... nothing gets past these

Inhumane hair trigger trap
If you want a trap that traps a mouse's legs and leaves them to suffer for hours until you find them then this is the trap you want. It has a hair trigger release and slams shut with the slightest touch and in the process can only torture an animal before it dies. I found several alive in the morning, trying desperately to free it's damaged legs but couldn't. One mouse had both it's hind legs trapped along with the lower quarter of it's body and it was alive. This is the most inhumane trap I have ever seen and I've had a 30 yr history of mice in my finished basement. Stay away from these, there are better options here on Amazon.

Good at first, but then ..........
I must re-review these mouse traps. I've adjusted my previous five star review to a three star review for the following reason. After about five months of use, the majority of the traps failed in one of two ways. Either the jaws would no longer lock open, or the trip pad failed to spring the jaws closed. I was losing bait in several of the traps without the trap being sprung. Couldn't understand how that was possible until I took a stick and triggered the release pad. Nothing happened. I could beat on the release pad with the stick and it failed to snap shut. Looking at the trap, I could not determine a way to correct this from happening; or not happening depending on how you look at it. So, for a couple months, good trap. Subject to fail after a time. These traps are extremely effective. I purchased them to replace older similar traps that I use outside around my motor home in an effort to keep mice from moving in and/or causing damage. I’ve caught mice and large pack rats with these. Only problem is that I have also caught a couple small birds in the traps. I’m not sure why. I never had this issue with the older traps. My guess is that these have a yellow color in the area of the jaws and my older ones were all black. Same bait, same placement same amount of bird activity around the house. Only the yellow color is different. I’ll try black spray paint to see if that helps, if not, I’ll have to replace these for something else. If you’re using these inside the home, they are excellent.

One trap for mice (small), one for rats larger comes different sizes
Five days used every bait I could think of standard mouse traps. Ate all the food never set off traps. Went to Amazon see if another way options to trigger traps, received 6 traps, 20min after setting got him. Difference with these compared to regular mouse traps you put peanut butter in 3/8 cup in center, push down lever to set spring trap, to get to food has to step on a very sensitive pressures plate which sets off trap, how sensitive, dropped a raise on plate wham. Old type eating sets off this one has to get to bait, 100% gaurentee he never reaches it.
