Knipex Electronic Super Knips® ESD burnished, with multi-component grips 125 mm 78 71 125 ESD

Trusty Knipex. Electronics component cutters replete with Electro Static Discharge handles, although I have to admit I do not understand what the single side blade guard does/how it should be used, if at all. Even though these cutters have ESD measures you should always use necessary Earth Protection measures i.e. ESD silicone, or similar material, work mat connected to Earth with wrist band or similar industry recognised Earth Safety measures to protect your home, your family, your bit of kit being worked on and yourself - Always practice good safe working procedures especially when using Electricity. At a minimum use an earth strap firmly connected to earth/ground as it is easy to fry components.Cutting blades align well and do meet in the middle, overlapping slightly, and do cut well as opposed to some lesser cutters that 'chew' component legs which can sometimes wreck circuitry. The blades are nicely ground and give that good positive sound when cutting just as their bigger brother VDE 1000Va.c. 10000Vd.c. Side-Cutters/Pliers/Cable Croppers/etc do but on a smaller scale.Ideally prices for Knipex, in UK, would be cheaper especially as personally I have been disappointed with some of their hand tools suffering breakages under light use which was a surprise. I hope these stay in good shape and last as most Knipex kit does. Excellemt bit of kit.

This works well for cutting coils without wire going flying. They don't quite get narrow enough for some RTAs but I manage fine and not having bwire cuttings all over my kitchen is a huge plus.1 issue is that the cutting edge doesn't go all the way back towards the hinge, so occasionally it won't cut, but rechecking it cuts fine.

These maybe the best general purpose snips. Great for Vape coil building.

These are a very good pair of snips. They appear to be very well made and of a good specification. Only had them for a short while, so can't comment yet on longevity or long term performance, but I don't expect any issues.
