The first time I stumbled upon Jeff's music his guitarwork intrigued me. The fact that many of his songs are in various open tunings makes transcribing very difficult and sometimes annoying. My mum bought me this book as a Christmas present and I finally thought that my mind was going to be put at ease from trying to work out some of the more complex sections to 'Chorpus Christi Carol', 'Last Goodbye' etc. But when I opened it, I found that lots of the tab is utterly incorrect and rediculously un-practical for a guitarist. Don't get me wrong, some songs are transcribed very well - 'Mojo Pin', 'The Sky is a Landfill', ' Nightmares by the Sea'. But for more advanced guitarists these songs will be easy to work out without the book, but the tracks that cause problems have obviously caused problems to the people who worked on this book as well. Anyway, a good book for beginners as it has a basic layout to the songs from Grace plus a few from Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk, but if you're trying to work out the nitty-gritty bits of Jeff's playing you'll have to look elsewhere.
