The meter seems pretty accurate vs drop tests. However during the day keep the unit in the same orientation vs the sun that you did your zero scale. The cap blocks light well but the body is semi translucent and has effected my readings if I turn it a different direction during tests. Doing testing at night is a similar process. If you are using a flashlight during testing do not point it at the tester during zero or testing it effects the readings. I'm considering painting the white plastic portion to prevent this during the day or night. A good idea for the manufacturer would be to use a non translucent plastic or coat the inside with a coating that won't let light through. Last but not least the scales for measurement are a little tight so if your readings are UnderRange or OverRange it will be difficult to figure out your dosages to bring everything back to normal.

This little gadget is a life saver. I was getting confusing pool readings from my test strips, and from the water sample test I took to the nearest Leslie's Pool store. It was like I kept fixing one thing and the next one got out of balance. By using this instrument I have eliminated dealing with Leslie's Pool (and the endless recommended products), because the range between it and the strips it's pretty close.

Takes a long time to get a reading!!

This product has received both positive and negative reviews. Almost all of the negative views stem from buyers who are getting wildly inaccurate readings. That was my experience when I first began using the PoolLab 1.0 water tester. It is important to follow the instructions in the correct order, which is not made entirely clear in the instructions.1. Turn the unit on2. Add water for testing3. Only then press the ZERO button4. Only then add the tablet5. Be sure it is fully dissolved with the provided stirring stick. This could take up to 2 minutes6. Cover the testing well7. Only then press the appropriate testing button (e.g., fCl for Free Chlorine)I was able to get accurate readings following these instructions.

If your measurements are over or under, it will not tell you the measurement, just OR or UR. Which is useless if you want to know how much to correct it...save your money..

Was concerned about a few reviews regarding how to use it. It's very simple if you read the instructions...you do need to zero it.

I was skeptical about how much of a pain it would be but I actually love it. The app on the other hand is not so much.

After I learned to zero out the unit before sampling the water, I found that this unit works great. I compared results with my pool man’s computer, and they were almost a dead match for the three tests important to me-PH, chlorine and alkalinity. Recommended? YES! Update: after using this product for a whole pool season, I still 100% vouch for it.

Testing pool water I do not like this product. I wish I could send it back it’s too time-consuming.

...sehr zu empfehlen, um auch bei Verwendung einer Dosieranlage ab und an mal die Wasserqualität zu kontrollieren. Würde ich jederzeit wieder kaufen
