This is a lovely cut steel decorative yard item and thick, not flimsy steel. The price is a bit painful honeslty but would make a beautiful gift for someone.

I didn't know what to expect as to metal thickness, but am very pleased. The steel is about 1/8th inch thick of Corten steel. The outside rusts, but the rust layer stops further corrosion so there's no need to paint. I bought three steel birds. They are pricy, but they aren't stamped steel that will rust away in a year. They were a gift to my wife on Mother's Day, and we both are happy.
