Star Trek: The Picard Legacy Collection [Blu-ray]

Beautiful
Received about a month ago and this thing is beautiful. Even though I got it on sale and paud less than $150, I could have paid nearly double that and still felt like I got a great deal. It's a must have for the physical media collectors and/or Star Trek fans.

This is a really great set
The set is amazing! It is one of my favorite franchises, and the extras in the set are really fun. I don't collect to sell, I collect because I enjoy the shows. This was at the right price and is quite fun.

Not What I expected.
The Box itself was well done; however, the extras: coasters, cards and most especially the badges were a letdown. The badges are only a sheet of magnets. The book is well done. The overall value for the TNG series, The Movies and Picard are good if you do not already own any of the episodes. I had to return the set as there were duplicate disks and a missing disk of one of the seasons. I could not get a replacement at the time since the vendor from which it was supplied at the time of the order is now different than the current supplier. Over the years I have only had to return things less than half a dozen times and I give Amazon 5 Stars for their continued super customer focused support in accepting returns when an item is defective. If you are thinking of purchasing this set, please make sure to check all of the disks to make sure you do not have any duplicates and missing disks.

Very Good Overall
Never opened, because I own all the same videos as Star Trek.

Nice box and decent value for the number of blu-rays, but the extras are underwhelming
Doing some quick searching on Amazon, it seems this is the cheapest way to get every Picard adventure on Blu-ray. The Next Gen complete series set is $137, the Picard complete series set is $60, and the Next Gen movie four pack is at $20. So you're basically getting the movies for free with the Picard Legacy Collection. That being said, the movies are the only ones out of the bunch available in 4K, so you might want to get the Next Gen and Picard complete series Blu-rays separately and then spring for the more expensive 4K copies of the four films. Then again, if you're like me, you probably don't care to revisit the movies anyways. I’d also sooner buy Picard Season 3 by itself (currently $26) and skip getting the poorly-received first two seasons.Because beyond the discs, nothing here is a must-have. The packaging is stylish and does have enough wow factor to make for a nice gift. It's also more compact than you can tell from the pictures, which is a plus in terms of storage. However, I’m not impressed by the extra pieces of memorabilia. The badges have no depth to them at all - they're flat, cheap printouts on a cut-out magnet sheet. The coasters are made out of some kind of simple cardstock that doesn't seem like it would hold up to liquid spills at all. The playing cards are pretty plain with just a Starfleet logo on the back. And the booklet just has a bunch of Picard quotes with images. Why would you read this when you could watch the episodes?I bought this as a gift, and I think it will serve well in that respect, but if you're buying for yourself, I would save some money and just buy the separate Blu-rays.

Overall cost
Years ago when TNG was first released on BluRay after its upgrade I was dying to buy that set even though I had the series on DVD. I am so glad I waited! This package is cheaper than the initial offering, with the added bonus of the TNG films AND all 3 seasons of PIC. So happy I waited ❤️

Great set - But the “collectibles” are underwhelming.
If you’re reading this, you already love these shows like me… But this review is for this set.The TNG set contents seem the same as what has been previously released on Blu-Ray , same goes for the movie and Picard discs - But they all have “Legacy” labels and printing on the discs and special artwork. The box is nice and sturdy, the book is beautifully done and loaded with photos and quotes. The coasters are plain cardstock with a nice logo. The cards are just playing cards with a UFP themed back. The faces of the cards are just plain playing cards. The badges are the big disappointment- Not badges at all… Just illustrations printed on a thin, rubbery magnet sheet, and you have to punch them out of the sheet yourself. In what world are justified describing these as “badges”? I didn’t expect real, full-size metal or enamel pins, but I expected these to at least be small-scale, replica badges made of cast resin or something. (Maybe you remember the retailer-exclusive badge set that came with Star Trek 2009)… Yes, my expectations were much higher. That said, if your looking for a complete set, here it is.
