Hills Prescription Diet Canine Z/D Ultra Allergen Free Wet (24 x 370g)

I would by again and it’s cheaper to get the 24 cans from Amazon than 12 cans.
Very pleased, I ordered the 24 pack which I worried might be in Chinese from the photos on the description and I ordered the more expensive 12 can pack which I’ve had once before and all 18 arrived in one box with 2 dented (just because they put a pack of 12 on its side) so I’m being kind with 5 stars Instead of 4 but my previous order of just 12 was not dented. My dog had life threatening GI bleeding 6 weeks ago from ulcers and now diagnosed with Cushings so he needs a hydrolysed protein diet and I use 1/4 can with his hydrolysed Purina HA kibble two meals a day (Hills also do a hydrolysed kibble I’ve found), so my Irish Setter doesn’t eat multiple cans a day, as suggested on the can which would not be recommended. my dogs specialist at the Royal Vet College Hospital and my local vet approved of these cans. My dog loves these cans which is a relief as he had meat from the butcher previously or whole cooked chicken breast as his meat with kibble before his illness. The cans are packed to the brim, don’t smell bad when I store open cans in the fridge (covered in foil) and they do come with English on the label (at least that’s been my experience but saw someone did get Asian labels in the past from my question answers). The delivery was a couple of days quicker than expected and overall I would buy from this supplier again... and again. I had difficulties getting hydrolysed pet food quickly when my boy came out the vets and his Purina kibble was causing diarrhoea for 2 weeks which RVC QMHA wantS him to continue with so this canned food helped make that better (following his local vet suggestion). Once his Cushings Disease is under control I’ll probably keep buying this canned food to help his stomach and allergies, especially as Cushings causes skin problems which this might help as it says the contents are made from vegetable and hydrolysed protein - it looks like a pate so no way to know what’s in it or what the ingredients are from. My only 2 concerns is (1) I’m not sure if it’s completely grain free (but I think so) and grain free helped stop my dogs ear infections so it’s important to me and (2) My other concern is that it doesn’t say where the meats for hydrolysed proteins come from (what animal) but Hills is a good name I trust and recommended by my vet. I’d just buy the 24 can packs in the future as the 12 packs were more expensive. They actually arrive in packs of 12 cans wrapped in plastic and then boxed in cardboard regardless. I wanted this review to be helpful so I’ve posted some photos (the one with my dog is about 1/4 of a can).
