It didn't work. I had to send it back.
It was if there was no power going into it, however I checked for power up to where the cord went inside. No power out and no lights were illuminated on the status display.

Great for multi-device homes, cradle makes it harder to lose.
I have a few devices that use this format of battery, and smaller charging clip-ons are always hard to find in the house. This looks like it'll be harder to miss, and it has a more active indicator of charging status. Works great with the pictured battery from a drill I got at a thrift store, and I also have other drill/screwdriver units as well as a weed whacker that use the 18V batteries.Easy to use, hard to mess up, useful in a multi-device household.
