Popcorn tastes different
Pop goes the popcorn, it will make the stuff even though it tastes different than stuff from a microwave or a stovetop. Still plenty of fun

Cool toy, not easy to use in USA
I love this pressure-cooker type popper. There is fascination with the method, the surprising noise, and the different kind of popcorn. Unfortunately I wrecked it within a couple of uses. I'll fix it but its a bummer. In the kit is a burner that is labeled "mineral oil". I tried mineral oil and lamp oil. Both oil types produce huge smokey flames that leave a ton of soot on the popper. After cleaning it off, I decided to try a sterno can. The sterno took a long time to heat up the unit. If even the slightest breeze blows, its cooling down. But it did work. Hoping for an easier time, I got a propane torch. And you can imagine that I might have trouble. A torch is too fast and I not only burned the contents but I wrecked the gauge by overheating. I'll get a new gauge. I did some research on the kind of oil and apparently in China they have smokeless mineral oil. But I was unable to find anything in the USA. The lamp oil at the hardware store produces too much soot. Mineral oil usually comes with additional properties for woodworking. I used pure mineral oil from healthcare products, but this oil is also not clean burning. I even tried reducing the wick to a small nib, but the flames are still pretty large and sooty.

It’s so tiny
I knew this wasn’t very big at all, but I didn’t think it would be this small! This thing is tiny, but it does work. I recommend looking online for instructions.

Too Small
This is a neat gadget. Does what it says it will do. The only issue is it's size. It is too small to use effectively. Only about 1/3 of popped cones out. The rest stays inside the popper. You thrn have to dig it out of the hot vessel.
