I got this TMNT Donatello set for my kid but I enjoyed it just as much. I grew up with TMNT and loved the graphic novels. There has been several movies and TV shows so it's not surprising that a new animated movie Mutant Mayhem rebooted the series. I did enjoy the movie for its new style. This set has a ramp and motorized skateboard, and Donatello figure. The box has some cutouts for additional standup decoration but I didn't bother cutting those out. The ramp, rails, and the figure was not too hard to assemble, and the hardest part was to pose Donatello on his skateboard.Aside from manually pushing the board to make him go forward, how do I do tricks? Well they provide a QR code which brings me to a webpage with a video on how to do the various tricks. I tried a couple with varying success. I think my kid would be more patient to really watch the videos and attempt the tricks. The price is in line with a licensed toy and its features.

Donnie does some awesome tricks on his skateboard and it's a lot of fun to watch him on the skatepark.

The mechanism to hold the feet on to the skateboard is not durable or kid friendly. My son could not get the feet to “click” in. My husband tried to help him and it fell apart in his hands. My son is so sad! Didn’t even last one day past Christmas. Bummer bc he really loved it.

A functional, economical toy for those ninja turtle fanatics. Perfect as a stocking stuffer or to have on hand for the random classmate birthday party your kids are invited to and want to not go empty handed, but also dont want to break the bank because your kid thinks the birthday boy is just "ok".
