Good to keep on hand for motor projects
I use these for powering motors on toy robot cars, and they're always up to the task. There are plenty of tutorials online, and getting to work with Raspberry Picos is relatively headache-free. It's especially useful to pull 5VDC to power the pico, which gives flexibility on what to use as the power source (input power is not limited to 12VDC)

Won't handle Nema 17 Motors but Great on Hobby Motors
I bought these to work with 2 amp Nema 17 motors and found them unsuitable to the task despite their 2 amp rating. They overheated quickly. I'll have to give it to these little drivers, though, they really held up under that abuse. I ordered a larger driver for the Nema 17 motors and plugged these into little hobby motors I use to teach robotics and programming to children. They seem marvelous to the task. These drivers take a lot of heat (both literally and figuratively) but seem like really reliable little beasties. I wouldn't trust them on a 3D printer or CNC machine, though.

What a deal
I'm using these for a robot project with a Raspberry Pi and am so glad I decided to order. They work great and save me a lot of time fabricating my own. The screw clamp connectors hold the wires in securely and the heatsink has gotten warm but never too hot to touch. At this price for 4 units it's a bargain.

Standard H-Bridge Modules for a pretty good price
These are standard clone L298N H-bridge modules. If you are considering buying these, then you already know what they are and how they work, so I’m not going to describe them in detail. If not, there are many online tutorials that can get you started. Each module can control 2 motors, in forward or reverse direction, from a microcontroller. I verified each of these using an Arduino Uno, and they all work. Each module had some very minor defect, like a bent pin here, or a bent radiator fin there, but overall these are fine. And, you get 4 for under $12, making them about $3/each, which is a pretty good price.
