The Best Sweetner Available!
Heather L. Parisi has already posted the healthy benefits of Stevia, so I don't need to list those. I have tried every sweetener on the market - all of the artificial sweeteners of course, and then when I decided to stop all artificial sweeteners I began to try all of the products containing Stevia. I tried the powdered products as well as the liquid forms. None of them compare to Now Foods Stevia Glycerite. It has the most sweet taste and no alchohol taste. It does take a couple of weeks to get the formula correct as to how much to use per cup of coffee or glass of tea. I make a gallon of tea and put in two teaspoons, but we like out tea especially sweet. Stevial is very, very, strong so it does not take much to sweeten. There is no after taste because there is no alchohol. We use it in cereal, coffee, tea, muffin batter, cornbread batter, just about anything we would use suger in we use the stevia. It is very versatile. I have found that the results of cooking with this Stevia to be great. We have traveled with this and had no problems at all. A 2 ounce bottle of Now Foods Stevia Glycerite is about $7.00 at the local stores. Online I have been able to find the 8 ounce bottle for around $13.00 - $16.00. Even with the shipping cost those prices are a huge savings over the local prices. Most times I can get free shipping. I buy the small two ounce empty bottles with the dropper online for about $2.00 each and transfer the Stevia into them. Then I am able to take the small dropper bottles in my purse and keep one in the car. I have not found heat to damage the Stevia at all. You may want to keep your Stevia Glycerite in a plastic ziploc bag as sometimes the bottle will become a little sticky if you are not careful. One thing though, if you do start taking the Stevia and using it at restaurants and such be prepared for a lot of people to ask you just what it is that you are putting in your drinks! They are so curious about the little brown or blue bottles they just have to ask. TIP* Make sure you are ordering the NON-ALCHOHOL version. The alchohol gives the Stevia a totally different taste. We do not like the Stevia with Alchohol.

Tastes Good
I needed a replacement for the Splenda I had been using as a sweetener because the Splenda makes me nauseous. I decided to try stevia because it is a natural zero-calorie sweetener. After reading all of the reviews, I was braced for something that was only just tolerable in aftertaste, like saccharin, but at least not upsetting to my stomach. When it arrived, I tasted it straight out of the bottle. Wow, this stuff is good! I had my husband taste it, and he said it tastes minty. I guess neither one of us is afflicted with whatever condition it is that causes people to think stevia tastes bad. The very first test I put it to was sweetening a batch of dark chocolate frozen kefir, with orange oil added. This is a potentially very bitter mixture, and requires good sweetening to counteract the bitterness. The stevia did the job. I think I used about 30 drops, which sounds like a lot but is only enough for 6 - 10 cups of beverage according to the directions on the bottle. Even assuming 2 tsp of sugar per cup of beverage and the maximum of 10 cups, that is equivalent to less than 0.5 cup of sugar. The recipe called for 1.25 cups of sugar. I think that is pretty good performance. I didn't feel nauseous afterward, either, and I would have after using 1.25 cups of Splenda (at 1:1 replacement as per instructions) in the dessert. I bought both an 8-oz bottle and a 2-oz glass dropper bottle. My plan is to use the dropper bottle to apply the sweetener, and fill it from the larger, more economical, bottle. Edit 5 days later: I am finding that 5 drops per cup of kefir is enough for my frozen kefir desserts when the flavoring is not so bitter as the dark chocolate and orange oil. It costs a little more than the Splenda, per serving, but it is worth it not to feel ill afterward. I am about to buy more while the price is good, so I don't run out.

Best East to carry sugar alternative.
For me and my wife, this is the only way to go. The taste is a bit different. But you will quickly get used to it. And best of all. It's natural and not sugar!

Best Stevia for us!
I’ve used this for a handful of years and am very pleased with it! Because the stevia is based in glycerine, the bitter aftertaste is gone (for me). I read somewhere that the ratio is 1tsp of this is equivalent to 1 cup the sweetness of sugar. We use this is most applications that are liquid that do not need bulk, or just to lessen the amount of sugar we do use. My family can’t handle sugar alcohols. (But I do have one daughter who also takes issue with this, it makes her feel off.)

Great tasting Stevia
Great tasting Stevia! After many years of using artificial sweeteners, I finally decided to give them up. This was a huge task for me because I have a terrible sweet tooth. I do not eat sugar because I am on a ketogenic diet. I had tried the Stevia that contained alcohol and it just had a weird, chemical taste that I did not enjoy at all. Also I found that I had to use more Stevia than I was using by sweetening with sucralose so the chemical taste was even more prevalent. After reading an article on Maria's blog, mariamindbodyhealth.com, about natural sweeteners she recommended, I decided to give the Stevia glycerite a try. Maria has never steered me wrong. This Stevia gives me high hopes that I can totally kick my artificial sweetener addiction. I used this in my coffee this morning and to sweeten my tea that I drink throughout the day, and it was delicious! I don't miss sucralose or aspartame at all. As I stated earlier, I have a huge sweet tooth and like my coffee and tea pretty sweet so I used 1/4 tsp to flavor my large cup of coffee (12 oz) and it was perfect and did not give that weird chemical taste at all. I will definitely be purchasing this again.

As expected, all stevia products have a weird after taste. This is no different.
