Berkshire Blanket Classic VelvetLoft® Solid Throw Blanket, Lightweight Soft Fuzzy Plush Throw Blanket for Bed and Couch, Grain, 50x60 Inches

This blanket is exactly as described, it is LIGHTWEIGHT meaning it is thinner and cooler than some of the other Berkshire lines of thicker heavier blankets. I have purchased at least 20 Berkshire blankets/throws for myself and for gifts because they are the absolute best quality at a seriously reasonable price. They are so soft and comfy and they will survive years of regular use and washing. This one is a gorgeous deep purple and is the perfect weight for our recent 85+ degree days in March with nights that still need more than a sheet but less than a comforter. It measures true to size after a thorough wash/dry cycle and I have had zero shedding issues so I’m not sure what other buyers are doing but please wash your blankets before using them. The photos show this gorgeous purple in a twin size next to a twin “Ombré Burgundy classic heavyweight” (omg go check that one out) and you can see the purple one is just about half the thickness of the other one which is exactly what I wanted for the hotter summer months coming up. If you want a thicker blanket, Berkshire makes a lot of them, just look for the ones marked “HEAVYWEIGHT” instead of going through the hassle of returning a blanket that is clearly advertised as a “lightweight soft fuzzy plush blanket or throw” and then getting mad because you got a lightweight soft fuzzy plush blanket or throw 🤣

I really love this blanket. This blanket is super soft and has a velvety feel to it! It is so comfy! The quality is excellent, it feels beautiful and does not feel cheap at all! I love laying on it and the soft texture, it’s so soft and cozy. It has a nice weight to it but it is not too heavy. It’s very warm. This blanket is honestly huge and that’s the reason I bought it. I bought it for the size. I wanted something large enough to protect my new couch until my dogs learned to stay off of it. They would come in from outside being really excited and jump on the couch, this blanket helps to protect my couch. It does not fall off because it’s large enough to completely cover from the floor to the back behind my couch and my couch is more of an oversized. This blanket washes beautifully, it looks the same as it did when I first bought it after washing. I washed on cold and when I dried I did low heat. I ordered the blue and the color is very nice. I got a great price on this blanket when I bought it, the blue was on sale. I would definitely buy again! I am very happy with it!

I ordered this Berkshire VelvetLoft blanket for my toddler. It’s the perfect size for her, and the softness is absolutely next-level—like wrapping yourself in a cloud. So soft and silky and warm and, oh the butterscotch color is such a perfect fall color! No static either! It does come rolled and sealed with plastic in a box, which I appreciate because you know you’re not getting something someone used and returned; all the Berkshire products I’ve bought come this way and while things being squished and sealed in plastic normally irritate me I approve of it here because Amazon is notorious for sending out used dirty crap and no one wants that in a blanket. Luckily with Berkshire I feel assured I’m always getting something new. Maybe that’s because the products are so high quality no one wants to return them (I know I don’t)! Or maybe they don’t allow returns, I don’t know. Sorry random tangent! But anyway, buy this for you, your friends, your pets, a stranger on the street! I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure the soft cozy feeling of this blanket could ensure world peace if everyone has one because everyone would be cozy and comfy and happy. Well maybe not everyone there’s always someone who has to complain. But not this girl. Because I’m cozy, comfy, and happy under my awesome blanket while I write this review!

I needed a larger, better match in color to protect my sofa from our pets. It is very soft even after hanging to dry. It dries very quickly. It did not shed in the wash. If you plan to machine dry keep in mind the fact that no or low heat is necessary. The color worked out for my needs. I recommend it.

first off the price i snagged this for was a steal, the quality of the blanket is great, the richness of the color is incredible, the softness is OUT OF THIS WORLD! i have NEVER felt another blanket as luxurious as this one! however, with that being said i’ve NEVER had one shed this much all over EVERYTHING! it is almost a joke at this point how many little fabric balls i’m finding everywhere. i could only imagine if i used this on a couch or chair, it would be a tragedy. but with that being said i’m willing to suffer the endless picking up and pricking off of lint to enjoy the softness & richness of this blanket. i’m hoping the shedding will die down after a couple of washes. it is just so beautiful & soft i don’t want to admit defeat ahaha!

I've waited to write this review to see if the fuzzies would go away. I've washed these blankets 4 times, twice when I first got them. The shedding was really bad on the first two washes, and each time I launder them, I hope they're gone, but no, I have to spend time picking them off, and I continue to do this, because the blankets came at a great price, they're a perfect weight, soft and cozy. Just beware if this would irritate you.
