I was hesitant to purchase this kit but so glad I did. The snaps are adorable and add so much to the finished product.I couldn’t get over how quickly and easily they attached and they are durable and firmly attached! The color choices were vibrant and really added a pop of color to my small snap pouches.

This is a great starter kit. There is an impressive selection of snaps and the tools are good.Before getting this kit, I had never installed any snaps. The instructions coming with the kit are short, clear and complete: you can’t miss. A couple trouble shootings are included. Everything is covered.The kit comes in two plastic boxes: one for the snaps and one for the tools. The box for the snaps is good, but the box for the tools is flimsy: it doesn’t close properly. That’s a minor flaw, I can still put the tools back inside but it should be better.One WARNING. I bought this kit for a sewing project requiring snaps to be applied to 2 layers of faux leather. The “official” two layers combined thickness was 2 mm... But it wasn’t quite so.When fixing a snap, you pressure two pieces together: one piece has a flat head and a pin and the other is a “male” or a “female” snap.Well, the 2 snap pieces didn’t stay together on the two layers of faux leather. No matter how hard I pressed with the pliers, they fell apart !! Trouble shooting said that when this occurred, it was because the fabric was thicker than 2mm and you needed LONGER pins, not included in this kit !!Oh boy. I didn’t expect that (I thought I was within the thickness limit).I couldn’t afford the delay/trouble of ordering the same snap colours with longer pins and wait for another long delivery. So I’m going to tell you what I did to get out of this situation.I decided to try reducing the thickness of the fabric by removing one layer on the underside, just enough for the snap piece.1-To do a neat job, I used one of the “extra” DIE included in the kit as a template and drew a circle around it at the exact emplacement with an erasable marker.2-using small, sharp manicure scissors, I made a small incision BETWEEN the two layers in the center of the circle3-I carefully cut 2-3 mm INSIDE the circle ⭕️, between the layers, parallel to the circle line all the way around and removed that small circle.4- I tried the snap piece for fit (perfect fit)5- I marked the center of the now one layer faux leather fabric pricked it with the tool then put the top snap pin piece through.6- I used the pliers to press the two pieces together and bingo: the pieces fit perfectly and don’t fall apart, and once the pieces are in, you can hardly see any trace of the “surgery”.Success depends on three things:First, make sure your fabric is LESS than 2mm thick.Second, make sure the PIN piece is completely imbedded (hidden/swallowed) inside the black DIE before closing the pliers and applying force.Third, read the instructions(!) they are short & well written.This is a wonderful kit that you will enjoy using.

I was very pleased to have the opportunity to use the Kam snap setter. The instructions were simple and the tool set the snaps firmly in place. I am looking forward to using it on a lot of projects in the future.

I just got it today .. opened it (first time using a snap attachment) I put couple snaps on my robe I was wearing… my mom is (retired many years now) seamstress I have seen the metal ones used … never these types but I used it without reading instructions either… I have looked at the instructions since. This is a great set very easy to use … as I did it anyone can ! Thank you

I literally *just* got these about an hour ago (appx 1pm May 27, 2016), so I may edit my review in the future if I have any issues with them.My first impression of these snaps, the tools, and the packaging was extremely impressed! The tools are really nice quality, and there are replacement pieces, even tweezers to help pick up the snap pieces you need. The snaps are beautifully colored, nice quality, and separated for convenience. I love the boxes (one for the tools, one for the snaps), and, while they're not the best quality, they work so well!I've already used them to add snaps to projects that I was waiting to complete, and it's SOOOOOO easy to use! They come with instructions, but they're a bit confusing, so I just used common sense. If you know how snaps work, you don't need a lot to figure it out: Step 1: push the awl through the fabric to creat hole. Step 2: take flat button side and put through hole (you should realize they both can't face the same direction, so make sure it's right before using clamp). Step 3: place male/female on underside of button. Step 4: press the pieces together with clamp and you're finished!If you can't get it, watch some videos, I've seen too many people giving low rating due to lack of instructions and that's just dumb bc this product is great and easy to use!!I haven't had anything break yet, so they hold up well!Pictures include product just opened, and some snaps applied to my projects!

Love these snaps. Easy to use. Nice quality. Easy-to-read directions. Received LOTS of snaps and have plenty for future projects. My only suggestion is to make a better plastic container for storage available for maybe a little extra money. Thank you for a nice quality product which tends to be hard to find these days.

I've not used any other kinds of snaps so I can't compare, but for a first-time snap user this kit is excellent. It's super handy that it comes with everything you need. At first glance the awl looks a bit dinky but it's worked flawlessly with everything I've thrown at it, it is plenty sharp. Also I was happy that the dies are labeled (it's labeled on the plastic really really tiny, but it's there). My only quirk was that the tool cane with the size 20 (T5) die installed but the size 16 shank instead of the size 20 shank. However, the included guide clearly indicated which was which and how to change it, so I did so and was off and running.The instruction book is small but pretty much has everything you need to get started, which is rare nowadays. Overall am very pleased!

Estoy muy contenta con la compra. Nunca lo había utilizado y es muy fácil, rápido, cómodo. Ahora los utilizo para muchísimas cosas: bolsas que no cierran bien, disfraces, ropa para los niños, etc...La única pega es que la cajita de las herramientas va tan justa que no queda bien cerrada del todo.

This is amazing value! I work for a small business and I am in charge of purchasing and so I put a lot of research into which popper set I would buy, this was my final choice. I am very impressed with the selection of colours available which makes choosing which ones to use a little difficult but really increases the quality of the items I make. I am even more impressed that the backs and fronts of the snappers have their own sections in the box - this makes finding them much easier and is a real time saver for me. These are easy to use and I couldn't ask for one which is more simpler which does the job so well. I also was surprised to find an awl included ( my fault for not reading properly) and so I found that this kit does absolutely everything you need when it comes to adding a snapper to a bit of fabric! I will be buying more snappers in the future and will be happy to recommend this to any other crafty people out there! The snappers look great on the fabric and work well.

Produit très pratique. Finis de faire une boutonnière et la fixation du bouton. En 1 minute c'est installé. Très solide une fois installé. Les couleurs sont très variées et vives. Très bon rapport qualité - prix. Les petites boites en plastique contenant le tout est un plus pour le rangement. La pince a épiler géantes un plus pour prendre les différentes parties de la pression.Je recommande cette article.

The media could not be loaded.  Wir nähen zu Hause viel und haben bisher immer nur normale Knöpfe verwendet. Da eine Freundin von uns Snapbuttons hat und nutzt, mussten wir uns ebenfalls welche zulegen und diese hier auch in einem kleinen Video vorführen. Die Anwendung ist wirklich erdenklich einfach. Man muss lediglich ein Loch für die zwei Teile in den Stoff stechen, die Teile um den Stoff zusammensetzen und dann mit der Zange die Nase plattdrücken. Schon ist die erste Hälfte des Druckknopfs fertig. Nun macht man das selbe mit dem Gegenstück und ist fertig.Auf der Verpackung selbst gibt es in ein paar Bildern eine kleine Anleitung, wobei man die eigentlich nicht braucht.Im Köfferchen der Zange findet man auch Stempel zum auswechseln, die scheinbar auch für andere Größen gedacht sind, sodass man wahrscheinlich auch andere SnpaButtons mit dieser Zange verwenden kann.Die Zange ist stabil und nimmt die Einzelteile sehr präzise auf. Sie ist gut verarbeitet und es reicht wenig Kraft aus, um die Nase platt zu drücken. Die kleine Auswahl an Farben ist wirklich schön und sollte für den Anfang und unsere kleinen Näharbeiten ausreichen. Insgesamt werden auch die 360 Paare lange halten. Da auch der Preis wirklich stimmt, vergebe ich 5 Sterne ***** und hoffe, dass sie uns lange Freude machen werden.
