great for kids
I bought one of these for my 10 year old grandson. He found it very easy to fly and the material it is made of is very forgiving. His little brother ran over part of it with a scooter and a little hot glue fixed it easily. The little brother ( age 8) is less adept at handling remote control planes but he tried this one and had no difficulty. So I bought a second one for the 8 year old. Good remote control plane for kids.

It takes a little getting used to but once you get the hang of it it’s a fun and fast little toy! My kids think it’s awesome

Wind
Wind blew it away on the first flight and I’m an experienced pilot.

Flies great. Short motor life.
Great design! Flies very well. One motor burned out and we replaced it with a spare from an old 2 channel RC plane.

Really not for 8 year olds
A fun little toy--I'm an experienced RC sailplane pilot, but found it a 'new' flying experience. A friend of mine bought one, so I had to jump in, too. We found that it required some nose weight--we added some BB's to the head to glide level. The white face on the eagle can be carefully removed and the BBs placed inside. What's different from a 'conventional' RC aircraft is that the steering is controlled by the the two motors--one in each wing, steering is accomplished by differential motor thrust. With throttle off, a motor will turn on when the L/R joystick is moved. There is no elevator or rudder/ailerons. Under full power, the bird will climb very steeply. Back off and it will maintain level flight or descend. In even a light headwind the bird won't make much headway, so be prepared to chase after it if the wind speed increases. For that reason, I recommend you find a large field to fly it in. The bird is reasonably rugged, as it is made from a somewhat 'rubbery' foam material that is a bit bouncy. But do fly over grass--not pavement--or the bird will eventually get its feathers ruffled on hard surfaces. The box says 'Ages 8+', but I seriously believe a kid that young won't have the coordination to control it well before they break it. But then, us 'Ages 70+' might have similar issues. A cute little toy that I didn't mind throwing away 30 bucks for!

Bought our 2nd one
The first eagle flew into the woods and was not found for months. For our grandson's 7th birthday, we bought him a second one. It was the only present he played with until dark. Now, he knows not to get too close to trees:)There is a learning curve. And it takes off best on a driveway/quiet road. Ages 5++ will be obsessed.

need a big field for this, not just a street.
