I was pretty worried about buying this since the previous poster's comments were extremely negative, but I figured you couldn't REALLY screw up a faucet adapter that badly could you?This adapter does not leak...at all. Maybe her hose was leaky. I use it to connect a bottle washer to my sink to clean bottles and carboys for homebrewing. When a bottle is not on the bottle washer, it shuts off the water, which means this adapter has to hold back the full water pressure. It doesn't even let one single drop through. And that's with very light hand tightening, no tape - just the gaskets that came with the adapter. Maybe the original reviewer didn't know what these were for and threw them away?This is mildly hard to remove, which is to be expected. If you look at the picture of the adapter, its very obvious that there is no grip or handle on it to facilitate unscrewing. It is a cheap adapter and does a great job of "adapting." I have never had to use pliers or anything other than my hands to unscrew it. Just keep it loosely tightened and it comes off easy enough.I really have no complaints about this and can't even think of a way you could improve it. Adding something that makes it easier to remove would just make it larger, more expensive and easier to break (if you look at the original poster's other comments, you'll notice that she also reviewed a plastic faucet adapter with easy disconnects and it is already falling apart...this thing is solid metal and isn't going to fall apart. It'll probably just need the gasket replaced every 10 years or so).

Great for any winter outdoor water project when you don't feel like turning on and then re-draining the plumbing in the basement, or when you need hot water for cleaning outdoors.Threads were well-cut and fit, and the plastic washer seems high quality. Doesn't leak when I use a decent hose.

I used this fitting to attach a 5/8" hose to my kitchen sink. One side is standard garden hose/pipe thread, the other is kitchen sink thread. The kitchen sink nozzle (airator removed) screws inside the fine threads, and the hose or hose attachment screws over the large threads. I couldn't find what I wanted at Home Depot (not to say they didn't have it) so I bought it here. Very satisfied.

Definitely works. I can connect my garden hose to my sink. Wish it had a screen. Not easy to remove and my boyfriend hates that water splashes everywhere.Please be careful when installing. Those metal threads can cut your fingers to the bone. Such a clean cut, I bled pretty good. Liquid bandage for a week, good to go now! :-)Gloves, or at least a hand towel, is recommended!!

Seems well made, fit neither the kitchen faucet or the bathroom sink faucet, this the four stars.

This faucet adapter works with a standard garden hose, when attaching it to the bathroom sink. I looked for a replacement for our waterbed adapter for quite some time, as the plastic adapters strip easily. It also works well in adding water to our fish tanks.

Connecting a drinking water hose to my sink to fill up our home birth pool would've been IMPOSSIBLE without this guy! He worked extremely well with no leaks and no fuss, and I have this fitting to thank entirely and exclusively for the birth of our third child. We named her GT (Gertrude Thomasina) in honor of your paramount company, to which we are forever indebted!

I wanted this adapter to be able to attach a hose to my kitchen sink faucet so I could give my dog, Pepper, a bath with tepid water. This adapter worked great. There wasn't even a hint of leakage at the faucet of the hose. The only problem is that it is small and I don't want to lose it when it time for the next bath.
