This FitBeast Hand Grip Strengthener with adjustable resistance of 40-100 pounds is a very high quality and well made product. The rubber foam type grips are so comfortable. I am attempting to gain as much of my right hand grip strength back as possible following a cervical fusion some months ago. So during repeated repetitions it was no longer necessary to constantly reposition my hand for comfort like with some molded resin handle models. Also, the spring action is very smooth in all the different resistance settings. The biggest takeaway about this awesome FitBeast hand grip strengthener besides it's obvious functionality, is in the design and simplicity in using it. You simply slide the rubber foam type grips down off the handles and you'll notice a prominent separation in the metal grips. Grasp the top section with the fingers in one hand and bottom section with the fingers in the other hand and pull them apart. Then both sections simply slide into one of the other three adjustment notches depending on the level of resistance desired. Then you simply push the sections back together to lock in the setting and replace the rubber foam type grips. Selecting the lowest notch for 40 pounds extends the length of the handles giving you more leverage to squeeze with. Each notch you move up increases the poundage by 20 pounds. I highly recommend this FitBeast hand grip strengthener for anyone having the desire to improve their overall hand grip strength.

I feel like they might burn my skinThe problem with all metal grip strengthener is they cause your skin to get thick. So you have have a decent cover for the handles. The cover that comes with this item is not great so I had to make my own cover from a pair of glove I had and it no longer hurts my skin.I play tennis everyday, so I needed one of these to make my grip more powerful so the racquet dose not rotate in my hand when I hit the ball. I use to have plastic grip but I broke it. If you want a grip strengthener go with a metal one. the plastic ones eventually break. It is also quite effective if your hand is suffering from an injury or you've lost your grip due to old age or illness.

Once you read the instructions, they are fairly easy to adjust (40-100#). They actually came with foam pads that slip on easy so that's a bonus though I don't use them.For someone who does not have that strong of a grip, this is a great starter. If you're a laborer or lifter this good to add reps in on the couch or in between sets. If you are somewhat strong then you may look at something with 200 or 300# resistance.

It just arrived, and my first impression is a very good one -- it seems to be exactly what I wanted. It works smoothly, adjusting the tension is simple, and it appears to be well made. The lowest tension is quite light, but I'm OK with that -- it should work well for anyone who is rehabbing after an injury. It seems like a much better design than the plastic ones with little springs and a weak-looking joint between the two pieces, and the quality seems very good for this price point. Can't speak to durability when I've had it less than a day, but I'll be very surprised if it breaks any time soon.

This isn't for strong people. 100lbs of tension isn't as challenging as you'd think. If you're active you'll be able to easily max it out. The handles extend to lower the tension, because of that, they move side-to-side while using which makes the knurling rub across your hand. This might be right for someone who's young, or non-active and needs to start at a lower weight.

Personally this product gets the job done for what you’re looking for, there is tutorials for set up and everything and comes with removable foam grips. The process to change the weight was a bit confusing at first, but once you figure it out (which it is simple) it’s easy to remember. I wish there was a heavier version for it might be a little weak for me, but for anyone looking to start out training their grip strength this is definitely the go to!

Right out of the package, the quality of this gripper is obvious. The metal feels very sturdy. The foam padding gives great support, but can also be removed, if desired. It wasn't immediately obvious to my how to adjust the resistance, but the manual explained it clearly. Now that I know, it's extremely quick and easy to adjust.After just a few days of using the product, I can already feel a difference in hand/forearm strength. That speaks to how important it is to have the ability to adjust the resistance. This is a piece of equipment that I will always keep on-hand in my gym bag.I've had hand grippers before, but they always had a drawback, whether it be uncomfortable handles, only 1 resistance setting, cheap materials, etc. This gripper finally seems to check all of the boxes, and at a great price. Highly recommend!
