Design overhaul required
Bought this toy as an extra something for my grand-daughter's 5th birthday. I found the instructions and diagrams hopelessly inadequate except for the first line that asks you to pass the wool through the centre hole. This nearly drove me crazy as the hole in question is pretty deep and wool is very bendy. After trying a number of different methods I found a straw (not supplied!) was the best tool to push it through. After a long struggle to understand what to do next I went on line to find proper instructions. After that it was okay but I was pretty frustrated by now. My grand daughter had, by this time, lost all interest.

Disappointing
I bought this for my grandchild to teach her the 'French knitting' that I did as a child on a cotton reel with 4 nails banged in the top, but the prongs on this Knitting Nancy are too long and too shiny to keep the stitches on, it was extremely difficult for me to pass the stitch over without the others sliding off and impossible for my grandchild.

great old fashioned value
great old fashioned value , good for young children to learn to be creative, would recommend it. easy to learn and a good way to use up scraps of wool

Love this, my grandaughter also loves this. She is only five she would not be able to use knitting needles yet but found she could work this
