You only need this one book
I've been following Rhiannon on Instagram for ages and what really appealed to me was her focus on a healthy relationship with food. She obviously is very slim and fit and I felt like there was hope in having a relaxed, healthy relationship with food AND being slim. I've been trying to move away from focus on weight to focus on health for a year or two, so it was reassuring to see she had successfully done the same and that this opinion was coming from a well-qualified source. The book arrived just after Christmas, which was well-timed, not because of Christmas but because of a recent slip up in my attitude around food and a foray into intermittent fasting, that ended up with a few weeks of binge eating as a backlash when I pushed it too far.The book has brought me back to my good habits and sensible outlook. It provides a clear, simple message that cuts through any fads and gives confidence to anyone looking to just have a straightforward, consistent and sane relationship with food. Something about having this all written down on the page is very useful if you are prone to anxiety around weight. I'll be treating it as a handbook to return to for reminders when things go awry.Other things I loved were the helpful descriptions around portion sizes and in particular the photos of these. Something about the photos just made this information click better for me. The information about different elements of a meal (the veg/protein/carb elements) has got me to relook at some of my breakfasts and lunches to make sure they are balanced. There aren't big changes to make, but just tweaks.Also... the recipes!! I have had so little luck with recipe books as most stuff is just too long-winded or complicated and/or not tasty enough. In this book I have found a number of great examples of recipes that I will actually use, or which are similar to what I already eat but have some ingredients I haven't used that will give more variety in my diet, like pomegranate, dried apricot, smoked mackerel and tzatziki. What she has managed to achieve with this book is amazing. I honestly don't think I need any other books or info to get me on the right track and actually by just using this one, I feel like it will simplify my outlook and stop me hunting around for new ways of eating. Working on getting simple, healthy eating consistent is really the only fix for a bad diet or a bad relationship with food. :P

More than just a cookbook! Get it - you won't be disappointed.
I have followed Rhiannon on social media for a couple of years now and have always loved her ethos (we share the same wellbeing beliefs) and her generosity with sharing information that will help us all feel better - internally, mentally and physically - via our tummies. So, when she announced that she was releasing a cookbook, I pre-ordered it as soon as I could back in Feb 2017. It finally came out last month and I am so so pleased to say that it was absolutely worth the wait. To set the scene, I'm not a huge fan of cooking at all. I love eating food, especially nutritious and delicious food and I love lots of it but the thought of cooking it just feels like way too much effort, so I'd cook healthy stuff but it would be very basic and not particularly tasty. As a super busy working mum of 2 girls (11 & 1 year old), I need food to be ready quickly and I was so pleased that there are so many dishes that I can cook in bulk, portion out and freeze AND so many amazing breakfast ideas that I can prep the night before, wake up and eat, which I did this morning! There's even a breakfast cookie recipe which I can't wait to make for my husband who often has to leave the house at 5.30am so rarely eats breakfast - this will be perfect. As a PT with my own studio at home, I often only have 20 mins to eat lunch between clients - I had become lazy and was picking at food or eating protein bars loaded with artificial sugar. Today, I popped a portion of the Renourish shepherd's pie in the microwave for 2.5 mins and had an amazing lunch! Both my girls will be having a portion for tea tonight too. What I also love about this cookbook is that I can use some of the ingredients across many dishes and there are no far out there ingredients. There's nothing worse than buying ingredients that you can only use in one dish and will probably never use again! Tomorrow, I'm cooking the quinoa-crusted macaroni cheese for the family and I actually can't wait. I feel that at nearly 40, I may have turned a corner when it comes to cooking! :)Important to note that this is more than just a cookbook, the first third of the book is all about educating you on nutrition and how to face some of the mental battle of 'dieting' and over-eating. I just love it. Thank you, Rhi! I've told (demanded :)) that all of my clients get this book too.

Amazing book!
I bought this book based on the current reviews as I was searching for a book that would help me adopt and maintain a healthier approach to food and nutrition without restriction. For 2019, I decided I wanted to be the happiest and healthiest version of myself on the inside as well as the outside. Before I start, I would also like to mention that I am not one to really write reviews but I can assure you this book does live up to all the positive reviews. It is easy to read and the messaging around eating well, is as the title suggests 'simple'. Rhiannon herself comes across really genuine and her approach is refreshing in a day and age whereby there are so many fad diets thrown at us every we time we check social media or open a magazine. No more counting calories and no food groups are banned which is a much more healthy approach to nutrition. I have already started to adopt her approach in my every day life and my energy levels and moods are so much more consistent. I have also made a couple of the recipes already and they were fabulous (the mini Mexican muffins are delicious!) and I intend on making many more. I have never baked before in my life and the recipes are easy to follow (no impossible to source ingredients either!) and I find myself wanting to bake more. If you want to adopt a healthier lifestyle, buy this book - you won't regret it!

If you need help with nutrition, don't look further....
I absolutely love this book with lovely recipes and breaking down every single information that you need about nutrition. Especially in this world when nearly everybody gives you nutrition advice and believe that they know it best, it's so refreshing to have found a book from somebody who is qualified and can clearly narrow down what you need to know.
