Asus 90DD0200-B20010 Internal Blu-Ray Writer (16x BD-R (SL), 12x BD-R (DL), 16x DVD+/-R), BDXL

If you know what this is, this is a good one. If you don't...well, your life is incomplete without this. Came as described and fired right up with zero problems. I have no idea how these die but my last one went to the spirit world when I needed it the most (probably a female) and Amazon got this one to me in a day. Like it was waiting for me. Stalking me in cyber space. I stuffed it in my new ASUS build and have no issues with it. Unlike cheaper versions, the door on this is very solid and the tray action is very smooth. Windows 11 has the drivers. Not much else to say but if you're on the fence, this is the one.

Mounted this drive in a Vantec DX2 enclosure ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09SS74KCN ) and it has performed flawlessly ripping DVDs and Blu-Ray using WinX DVD and Leawo. It is super quiet compared to the LG DVD drive I've been using which was so loud I had to paperweight the top of the DX2 case to stop the vibration. WinX DVD with the LG required using safe mode; the Asus does not require safe mode and rips much faster. Ejected read-only discs aren't coming out warm either. I've driven it pretty hard in the 18 hours I've had it so long-term reliability is an unknown but with that caveat I recommend this drive.

Bought it more for reading discs than as a writer. After searching firmware options it's performing as I'd hoped. A little research helps to get the most out of this drive.

If your hunting for the blu-ray player that can burn 4ks, this is the one. Be prepared for research, though. It was a heck of a hassle, but I was able to do it with this one. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, do your research first.

Totally busted and won't read any discs after only 4 months of use. Started getting loud around month 3, unusable at month 4. Made a mistake and bought a second one of this model (that was listed differently here on Amazon but was exact same model number) and the 2nd one was loud and screeching and having trouble reading discs brand new out of the box... It might be cheaper than other brands, but its not worth it...

Drive installs easy, however, Blue Ray software is needed to play movies on your computer. Software is not provided.

Der Asus BW-16D1HT Blu-ray-Brenner hat sich, nach rund 8 Wochen Betrieb, als eine ausgezeichnete Wahl erwiesen! Für rund 100 Euro erhält man ein hochwertiges Lauf-werk Baujahr 2025, das mich nicht nur durch seine technischen Daten überzeugt, sondern auch durch seine praktische Handhabung. Der Einbau war in meinem Fall in weniger als zwei Minuten erledigt – dank des Klicksystems von Lenovo sitzt das Gerät sofort stabil im Schacht, man kann es aber auch ganz normal in den Cage schrauben bei anderen Towers. Mit seinem geringen Gewicht mit ungefähr 750 Gramm und der leisen Betriebsweise (andere empfinden das Gerät als laut, was ich mir nicht erklären kann) fällt der Brenner im Alltag kaum auf, arbeitet aber absolut zuverlässig und schnell. Die Schreibgeschwindigkeit von bis zu 16x bei BD-R Medien ermöglicht ein 25 GB Backup in nur acht Minuten – ideal für größere Datenmengen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Unterstützung von M-Discs, die laut Hersteller eine Haltbarkeit von bis zu 1.000 Jahren bieten – perfekt für die langfristige Archivierung wichtiger Daten. Auch BDXL wird unterstützt, sodass bis zu 128 GB auf einem einzigen Datenträger gespeichert werden können. Die E-Green-Technologie sorgt dabei für einen reduzierten Stromverbrauch, was dem Gerät zusätzlich Pluspunkte in Sachen Effizienz und Nachhaltigkeit verleiht. In unserem Fall war der Brenner die perfekte Lösung: Wir besitzen eine größere Sammlung an Blu-rays, hatten aber gar keinen passenden Player mehr. Jetzt können wir am PC wieder Filme schauen – und nebenbei auch DVDs udn Daten brennen, was trotz Streaming-Zeitalter immer noch gelegentlich gebraucht wird. Das Vorgängermodell war ein reiner DVD-Brenner, daher ist der Umstieg auf Blu-ray ein echter Gewinn, und preislich ist alles super. Für mich ist das Gerät ein Paradebeispiel dafür, wie etablierte und ausgereifte Technik auch 2025 noch ihren Platz hat. Klare fünf Sterne – ohne Einschränkungen, ich habe absolut keine Kritikpunkte und ASUS ist ohnehin eine etablierte Marke im EDV-Bereich, der man blind vertrauen kann.

(Una scelta obbligata per il Blu-Ray Ripping, questo modello è però Bus Encryption Capable, pertanto sarete costretti ad usare software specifici per la visione dei supporti Blu-Ray, in particolare le librerie: aacs, bdplus, libbluray ) Questa unità è compatibile con il software DeUHD ( Bluray Ripping ) La fase di masterizzazione è perfetta, niente errori di Buffering o altro. L'unità gestisce il processo di scrittura in maniera ottimale rispetto ad altre unità simili e la qualità sempre offerta da ASUS è ben visibile e simbolo di garanzia. La Masterizzazione dei supporti Blu-ray e DVD risulta perfetta. Non riscontro alcun problema. Il Masterizzatore è silenzioso sia nel processo di lettura/scrittura. L'unità supporta la nuova specifica BDXL, che estende la capacità massima dei supporti Blu-ray a 128 GB. Consiglio l'acquisto se cercate un buon masterizzatore Bluray ad un costo contenuto.

He tenido varios grabadores de bluray y salvo contadísimas excepviones han acabado siendo un mal reproductor. Este no parece que sea el caso, graba perfectamente todos los formatos, aunque para reproducir tengo otros equipos para preservar su desempeño. Es rápido grabando y reproduce todos los formatos (no incluye software reproductor de películas Blu-ray) aunque incluye un software de grabación, utilizo software de imageburn que tiene una versión freeware de excelente calidad, para mi gusto mejor que la que incluye el paquete. Una compra recomendada.
