Happiness Is in the Field ( Le bonheur est dans le pré )

A delightful film, with some splendid characters and situations, all, of course, very French. Eric Cantona plays a charming adulterous amateur rugby player, and other actors, less known in the UK, produce some good performances. Great fun to watch - light hearted and happy. A large amount of the movie was made in the south west of France not far from where I now live, and the atmosphere of the area comes through beautifully. Be prepared to be happily entertained.

A film recommended to me by one of my French friends. What a triumph, I loved it, one of those French movies which the French do so well.A lot of humour and a lot of joy as the tale unfolds with a wonderful cast.

I love this film and I must have watched it ten times over the last few years. The characters are well drawn and believable and the plot is intriguing and satisfying. Lots of lovely French scenery and food. It is a laugh out loud delight with some hysterically funny scenes. A must have film that you can watch again and again.

J'ai eu un problème pour lire ce dvd, mon lecteur ne lisant pas cette région. J'ai contacté le vendeur qui m'a conseillé un lecteur qui pouvait lire cette région, ce que je me suis procurée. A una mujer que cria patos en un granja rural se presenta como el marido que había perdido hace muchos años.Es una peli leve y un poco tonta pero divertida, bien hecha y bien interpretada. Recommended for an evening's cheerful viewing.
