My dads a cheep skate and kept buying dog crap chinese systems off ebay that always had a problem. I felt fed up with this and ordered this. Best rated cheepest system i could find still at quality. Works perfect. Easy to set up. No port forwarding crap to go through. Well worth the money

Rearly good for price

This system is easy to set up and the picture quality is great both in day and night mode the only downfall I didn’t see until it came is that it does not have a hard drive in it so you can’t record until you fit one luckily I had one to fit which was easily done.

I've been thinking of getting CCTV for a while and finally decided to take a punt on this system, primarily as it was the cheapest I could find! Day 1, I was ready to be very disappointed, the mobile app kept crashing and had awful reviews, plus I managed to crash the recorder twice. After a quick scout around Zosi's website, I applied the two firmware updates (copy files to a USB stick then reboot the recorder, very simple). Since then, I've had perfect stability. I will say that the PC tool still isn't amazing, but its perfectly servicable Things you should know: Always-on recording for a single camera consumes approximately 15GB of hard disk space per 24 hours with the default settings. This means recordings for a 1TB disk which Zosi recommend would be deleted after approx. 60 days. This may vary with more cameras, I haven't tried yet. The unit emits no noise its self, its all emitted by the hard disk you fit (or that is pre-fitted if you buy that version) - if you used a Solid State disk it would be silent . You need access to another screen to set it up. This needs HDMI or VGA input (an old PC monitor or your TV works) You can make the unit wireless by adding a Wireless Bridge (available on Amazon for about £15). The USB ports on the back of this unit provide power for the bridge. To set up the bridge, you require a computer (NOT a tablet) ideally with an ethernet port for testing. Anything reflective shines very brightly during night recording. My car is visible on-screen and the number plate is not readable it glows so brightly You require two mains plug sockets to operate this system, three if you want to power a screen nearby. One for the cameras, one for the DVR.

I bought few Zosi CCTV kits over the years (for myself, family and friends) and found them very good value for money. Zosi does Amazon sales/promotions few times a month which can help you save even more. I bought Zosi 8CH H.265+ 2MP DVR Recorder with 2pcs 1080P Outdoor Cameras this time. Delivery was very fast and everything was very well packaged. Instructions were easy to follow and setup didn't take long. Decent quality all around, images are clear both day and night. On top of that their customer support is very friendly and efficient. I'd couple of queries and Ariana from support was very helpful. I highly recommend Zosi CCTV kits to all.

Addition to review after 9 months. As well as Cameras failing through water ingress, the NVR Unit has now failed. It no longer boots up. Just a red power light and nothing to show LAN or Hard drive (green LED's). No cameras nor NVR will show on the App nor via HDMI, The Customer Support is AI driven and it asks question after question and expects you to purchase another power supply to test it and to open up the case to disconnect the Hard Drive. Not something everyone is capable of. So far they are asking for images of invoices, NVR labels and a video of the NVR not booting. This whole process so far has seemed to be a time wasting exercise to force me to give up my warranty claim. Absolutely not a recommended company to deal with. These are good cameras with clear vision including at night. The Software is not totally user friendly especially if you have PTZ / Alarm features. The motion detection is OK, the recording ability from a 2TB drive is good for most uses. After 2 months the LED night vision has stopped working on one of the cameras following heavy rain. On closer inspection there were droplets of water visible inside the front lens cover. They are rated IP66 but it seems that during periods of heavy rain they allow a certain amount of moisture to get past the gasket / fixing screws at the top. It was also noticed that the screws holding the camera together were going rusty. The screws are not stainless steel. The camera is presently in an airing cupboard in the hope that it dries out and has not suffered permanent damage. I would have expected better after just 2 months of use. Added: Camera did not work after drying. After removing the top screws and lifting the lid, the inside of the casing had far more water than I had realised. The connecting plug that goes to the front IR lamp board was burnt and the centre pin had melted. Having access to suitable equipment we did a repair on the connection and used silicon sealant on all of the joints and it's all working again. It is possible that the water came in through the top alarm lamp assembly, so that has been sealed too. All other cameras have been treated in a similar way and all is now working again.

The product arrived quickly and was straight foward to install and set up. This replaced an existing CCTV system, so I reused much of the infrastructure already in place. As mentioned, it is plug and play, once you connect the cameras and turn it on, it comes to life. Connecting to the internet and using the app was also straight forward. So why 3 stars instead of 5? Its says it is a PTZ but really it is a PT, the zoom is digial and of poor quality. However, the Pan and Tilt facility is good. The NVR is extremely noisey and whines at an annoying pitch. Mine is in my office and needs to be turned off during Teams calls. I may need to accoustically treat the area to control the noise levels. The other thing that did concern me was written in the installation instructions. It advised that the camera should not be installed in areas were it would be in direct contact with the elements. All my cameras are mounted under soffits but that does not mean they will not get wet. It does say it is water proof, but how waterproof?

Use a 12 vdc Zosi 2 ampere power supply. The display was noisy with another power supply. Using the Zosi ps cleared up the noise. Use the OSD button to reset camera if necessary.

camera is clear and works good

It works. I feel like there is slightly less clarity than the zosi cameras the nvr came with. These are also 2-5° fov less than the ones it came with. These replacements have less view angle
