Prodia Sugar Free Honey Spread 250g

This product has a nice honey scent and flavour, though definitely not as sweet as the real thing. It's quite sticky, just like honey, and dissolves well in hot liquids (eg coffee). However, calling it 'sugar free' is a bit of a misnomer. The main ingredient is fructose, ie fruit sugar. Per 100g: 296kcal. Carbohydrates: 82g, of which sugars: 62g, and the remaining 20g is polyols/sugar alcohols. The sweetener used is sorbitol (and the label advises this may have a laxative effect.)

Nice tasty honey, plus it says its sugar free! but from reading one of the reviews it did worry me that it might have more sugar than normal honey.

It's not honey but a honey flavoured topping. Not as full a flavour as real honey

I have used this honey for quite some time and find it very useful especially on cereal and desserts in place of sugar. Always one in my cupboard.
