Accurate and nice looking screens
You know how the things are looking like when you are a home automation fan? You have plenty of sensors and screens in the house but you still don't have enough. ☺️ Despite the fact that I already have in all the rooms accurate temperature/humidity sensors from Shelly - connected via Bluetooth, I noticed that there is a long way until someone (ok, my wife as always 😂) will actually read their values using the screens from the walls or phones. This encouraged me to look for some simple and nice looking screens, but also having a good quality and durability. Considering that I'm already using several other gadgets from Shelly, Zooz, Aeotec, Philips, Innr, Zipato, TpLink and Sonoff and I'm very happy with their simplicity and quality, my choice was mainly made by the price and offers that these brands were offering at the moment of buying. Therefore, I found that Sonoff came with the best balance price/quality. Connectivity was not so important as I'm using both Zigbee and Z-Wave protocols (AEOTEC for Zigbee and ZOOZ for Z-wave). I knew, therefore, that I'll have no issues connecting a SONOFF sensor to an AEOTEC zigbee module. Functionality is good, see the picture attached. This is also confirmed by the Shelly temperature/humidity sensors from the house. The screen is simple and has a nice contrast and if I have no complaints from my wife, then it worked 100%. 😎 There are two variants of attachment. On the wall using a strong magnet and on the table. What I like about them is that on the wall you can stick the magnetic part using 3M double tape already attached. That plastic part is like a pocket for the sensor, you can - if you want to move the sensor somewhere more visible or you wany to measure the temperature in a different place - you can literally take the sensor from its pocket and place it on a table. Battery type is CR2450. I bought the pack of two sensors and I had to replace the battery to one of them as it was empty, while the other one had a full battery. I had a Duracell CR2450 spare battery already so this was a simple fix for me. Not sure about the battery life overall, I'll be back here later for updates regarding this matter. But the lesson will be from this episode to have a CR2450 spare battery as you never know when you need one ;)

Easy to setup, works great
Smaller than I expected, in a good way. Took it out of the box, unwrapped, pulled out the battery tab, and paired to my Home Assistant install in less than a couple of minutes. The built-in kickstand is great for a windowsill, and the magnetic wall holder is a nice additional touch. Very impressed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smart Sensors That Power My Automation + Setup Tip and Bridge Requirement
I’m using these SONOFF SNZB-02D temperature and humidity sensors alongside the SONOFF Zigbee Bridge Pro to automate tasks across my property. They’re installed in outbuildings to monitor environmental conditions, and when thresholds are reached, they trigger smart plugs and appliances such as heaters, fans, or dehumidifiers. The sensors are accurate, responsive, and integrate well with the app. Important note: these sensors require a Zigbee bridge to function as smart devices. Without one, they simply act as standalone digital gauges with no automation or remote monitoring. Once paired with the bridge, they unlock full smart functionality. Setup wasn’t flawless, which is why I’ve rated them four stars. Pairing was a bit fiddly at first, but after speaking with SONOFF support, I learned that connecting and updating the sensors close to the hub or router makes a big difference. Once I followed that advice, they paired quickly and worked reliably. The LCD display is clear and easy to read, and having both temperature and humidity data available remotely is a huge plus. Signal range varies depending on walls - in my wooden cabin, the sensor works fine at around 15 metres. In my brick garage, the signal weakens at just over 6 metres, so placement matters. Battery life initially was quite short, but after replacing with a branded battery, they seem to be lasting a lot longer. They’re not the cheapest sensors out there, but the functionality and integration make them worth it if you’re building a smart automation setup. Just follow the pairing tip and make sure you’ve got a compatible bridge.

Great little unobtrusive sensors that work brilliantly.
I’m really impressed with these temperature and humidity sensors. They feel well-made and sturdy, like they’ll last a long time. The mounting system is a nice touch—it uses a magnetic fixing, so you can easily take the sensor on and off the wall. The adhesive backing stuck well to both my wallpaper and a wooden doorframe, so no issues there. Setting them up was simple with Zigbee. I connected them directly to my HomeAssistant server without needing the app, and they immediately started reporting temperature and humidity. The accuracy seems spot on, matching closely with my thermostat readings, and, most importantly, updates regularly enough to be useful. I’ll be using them to help control both my dehumidifier and heating system via automations using the data they collect. The screen is clear and easy to read, with helpful icons that show when the temperature or humidity is outside the specified comfort range. As a bonus, they came in minimal packaging, which I appreciate for the environments sake. For the price, these are excellent sensors, and I wouldn’t hesitate to get more if needed.

Very poor quality
Ordered a 2 pack. One of the sensors works pretty much flawlessly, the other is a disaster. One of the big problems with these is that in order to open them and access the battery it's almost impossible not to damage them. I found no other way than to put a screwdriver between the gap and wedge it open as it is very firmly stuck. After painstakingly wedging it open, I set up sensor number one, which has been happily reporting every since. I did the same for sensors 2, set it up... and 30 minutes later it stopped reporting. I wedged it back open, set it back up... and 30 minutes later it was gone again. I removed the battery and left it like that for a few hours, then tried again. This time it seemed to keep working so happy days, I stuck it on the wall. All fine until 3 days later it stops reporting *again*. I tried re-pairing a few times but every single time it pairs fine but never even reports any data. So, I try to get to the battery again... but this time the sensor is actually stuck to the wall, too, so I try my best to carefully loosen it up with a screwdriver around the edges. Well turns out that the insides of the sensor are stuck better to the back than to the front/shell, so the board got dislodged... Put it back together, but it seems that the button on the board that the little plastic button on the outside presses on to is loose (it's not broken off and the button on the board itself still works, but pressing the button from the outside pushes the inner button up and off the board rather than pressing/triggering it). So what I'm stuck with is one sensor that works (1 for the price of 2; not a great deal) and one that won't stay paired and needs to be fully opened up any time I need to re-pair it (which I don't intend to keep doing every few days anyway). In short, impossible to open up yet very brittle insides, and 1 of the 2 sensors I got refuses to stay connected (distance to the gateway is not a factor, I checked).

Nice little device, but accuracy is not good
-> Readings are not consistent between devices (we got 6) - up to 4C difference / 20% RH. -> The back battery cover is very stiff and no where on the instructions they note the ammount of force required to open it. You will need to use a screwdriver to pry off at least 2 out of the 4 clips. Avoid using hand as it may come out sudenly and break the clips. -> Sensor inside seems to be a digital type so the accuracy issue is strange. -> CR2450 type battery. Would like to have seen the option for 2xAA as that would give better low temperature performance / higher life.

The sensors are accurate and easy to pair with Home Assistant.
🌡️ The module is small, but knowing the components required for it, it’s probably no surprise. This means that you can have an unobtrusive installation, and I stuck them to the walls in discreet places. The temperature seems accurate enough, with the first readings coming out to match the other temperature and humidity sensors that I have. Equally, the humidity readings were as expected. ⚙️ The 3M double-sided foam on the back will hold this firmly to the wall. Remember to remove the piece of plastic under the battery to activate it after prying off the back. I have seen forum feedback mention that this is not easy, but it can be done with a small flat-blade screwdriver, and I have more of these sensors, so I am well used to getting the back off and on again. It's really not that difficult. 🌡️ There is a small grid on one side for airflow, so when installing, make sure that is not covered up. At the other end of the sensor is the pairing button. Pairing them was simple with Home Assistant and ZHA, though I had to pair them again after moving them to their final locations. The sensors come with a piece of sticky foam, which I used to stick them in place. One went upstairs, but I wanted the other one in the kitchen, and that took some thought. I needed to keep it away from the cooker and the kettle, other sources of artificial heat such as a radiator, and sunlight from the windows. In the end, I was successful. ⚙️ The sensors work very well, and Home Assistant tracks the history so I can see what the temperature trends are. The device also reports the battery status, and in my experience, the battery lasts a very long time. I have had one of these operating for 11 months, and the battery is still reporting 100%. ✔️
