because this is just ground dates crystalized it is a good sweetener source. no after taste and really no taste at all. so adding to coffee, which I do doesn't alter the taste of my coffee.

I needed a sugar substitute for a Concord Grape Pie I was baking. I had experimented with other natural sweeteners. I don't like when the sweetener is all I notice in my pie. The Date Sugar did the job and I ate all - but one piece of the pie!!! without any sugar guilt!

Very grainy. I am sure would be fine in baked goods but was.too grainy for other uses.

This is my favorite sugar replacement. I used to use Date Syrup, but this is much easier to use (less messy and easier to measure). I use to sweeten plain greek yogurt and I even put in my coffee. Easy!

Taste and worth the price

I prefer over sugar for carrot cake recipe.Still have to try in other recipes.

I've been experimenting with sugar alternatives - and was impressed by the nurtritional value of Date Sugar. But disappointed by the flavor and the texture - by texture I mean; when you use this in drinks or anything liquidy the sugar becomes more like a cloudy mess - it's 'sweetness' isn't very bright or distinguishable in cooking - so I had to keep adding more to try to get a good sweetness. I'd not recommend this product for baking or drinks. I do always trust the Terra brands on many other products; but this isn't a winner for me.
