I fill them with bottled water and after a while I get gigantic cubes that melt nice and slow. I was buying a bag of ice every few days, but I like this ice so much better. It's kind of a game changer, and the price for 2 trays and covers is worth it. Ice pops out quite easily if left out for a minute, and I make them in advance and put them in a gallon freezer bag. Would recommend!

I like that each tray makes 8 cubes. They take at least 30 minutes to defrost. They are easy to fill and the lids work well.

I love the large ice cubes because it lasts longer. The trays are easy to use, easy to clean, and the lid helps keep water from sloshing too much.

I put a water bottle in the pic for relative size. I've filled these everyday for a month and a half and they're still just fine. If you feel the tray too high the cubes are a pain in the ass to get out but that's any silicone tray. Even if a sharp corner of the cube pushes against the silicone and stretches it out it doesn't pierce the tray so they're pretty sturdy. The big cubes are nice to bring in your water bottle to work, stays colder longer.

Ice trays are sturdy. If you follow their directions of setting the tray out for 3 minutes before trying to remove a cube, they're easy to remove. However, I will be getting rid of these because they make the ice taste bad. As the ice melts it ruins the drink. I don't think they had the smell/taste at first, but they certainly do now.

I finally jumped on the large 40 oz. cup bandwagon to try and stay hydrated in this AZ heat. I wanted an ice tray that produced large ice cubes, so I gave this two pack a try. One tray makes 8 cubes, and it takes about 3 ice cubes in a 40 oz. Insulated cup. The ice will last about 12 hours, and 3 refills in my experience. The ice cubes can be a little difficult sometime to pop out of the mold if overfilled, but I think this two pack was a good value. Notably, the lids that come with it are very thin and flimsy - doesn't create a seal with the mold.

I find it difficult to remove the ice cubes, even after leaving it out of the freezer for 2 or 3 mins. like the instructions say. However, the large ice cubes don't melt fast adding a lot of water to a drink, so I'll still make some of these larger ice cubes.
