Not for gaming consoles
I figured it would be a better way to game but it doesn't support 120hz it completely took them options away from my xbox series x. Just gonna stick with my hdmi

I have an Asus VG248QE monitor and have never enjoyed the possible 144hz it can do.I tried once before but it did not work, this adapter works and I was able to use my console at 120hzVery happy with my setup now that this adapter allows me to play my Xbox on at 120hz on my PC monitor.

Good adapter to solve a unique problem
Nice quality adapter cable with a long enough usb power connector. Typically I am trying to convert to HDMI as that is what most of my monitors support. But I needed an adapter to go from the hdmi out from one KVM to a displayport in on another KVM. And this item was exactly what I needed for my unique situation.I did not have any degradation of signal or quality with this adapter in line. Very pleased with quality and perrformance.

works perfectly for HDMI Source to Display Port monitor. in my circumstance i'm passing through a KVM switch to get to the monitor.

Only 3 stars because it didn't work with a Dell monitor.
As others have mentioned, it doesn't work with Dell monitors.It did work well with a Samsung, but I really needed it to work with the Dell.It is very well made, doesn't get very hot, picture quality is as expected, and at this price is a good deal. It's plug and play, no drivers needed. I did return it, only because it didn't work with the Dell 32" monitor. If it had it would be 5 stars. When I plugged it up to the Samsung I was pleased.
