Zen Garden TeaTaiwan Organic Gaba Oolong Tea - 100g (3.5oz)USDA Organic

I've purchased this Zen Garden Tea Taiwan Organic Gaba Oolong Tea three times now. In addition, I've ordered all of the other organic Zen Garden brand oolong teas from Amazon, in addition to a dozen different locally available (albeit not specialty) varieties of oolong teas, such as those from the local Asian market, or health food market. In a taste test between all of the varieties, this was my favorite. Describing taste and flavor is hard to put into words, but a key attribute of this tea that separate it from the other oolongs I've tried is how resilient it is. Steeped for 1-3 minutes it produces a very flavorful tea that is not bitter or astringent, and has a pleasant savory quality. Not too grassy, not too vegetal or fruity. Even if the tea is over extracted, say, you forgot your tea was steeping, the concentrated tea flavor is equally delicious--this quality was definitely NOT experienced in any of the other teas, which get so bitter and unpleasant that you'd either have to dilute or toss.This tea is pricy per ounce, and so I'd tend to recommend people new to tea seek out local options, but for me, this is a solid tea that will remain in my rotation, and replace other teas, as long as I can get a hold of it.P.S. I dont know anything about the "gaba" part, and any alleged health claims. I have not tried other gaba teas, and so maybe the gaba tea processing technique produces these balanced flavor effects that I like!

The product was such high quality! The quantity for the price is so reasonable as well, you just need few tea leaves and it gives off such a strong flavor and lasts long! Would a 100% recommend to anyone:)

As an oolong tea aficionado, I was eager to try this organic Gaba oolong from Zen Garden Tea. Having enjoyed it over several weeks, I can say this is a fantastic oolong tea.Gaba oolong is known for its velvety mouthfeel and aromatic flavor. Zen Garden's organic version lives up to this reputation. The tea leaves have been carefully oxidized and the liquor has a beautiful amber color.The aroma is floral and fruity, with notes of orchid and peach. The flavor is incredibly smooth, with very little astringency. It has a lush texture and a sweet, lingering aftertaste.You can steep the leaves multiple times, pulling out more layers of flavor with each infusion. This is flavorful oolong that is very forgiving - hard to brew a bad cup.I appreciate that Zen Garden uses organic farming methods for this Gaba oolong. At 100g for the price, it's also an excellent value.For those who enjoy the richness of rolled oolongs, I can't recommend this organic Gaba enough. The aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel come together in a wonderful harmony. It makes for a sublime tea-drinking experience.
