AN IMPROVEMENT OVER CUP 'O NOODLES
These noodles are not inexpensive, but I love the Miso flavor as a Pescatarian, and the noodles are "healthy" (or healthier) for a noodle soup. I added leftover swordfish from last night's dinner, and one whole carrot in slices to yesterday's noodle soup lunch with some Black Truffle Momofuku Chili Crunch and it was amazing!

Meh. Not worth the $$$! Flavor and smell of noodles is WEIRD. The texture is okay but that's it.
I got the spicy red miso. As other reviewers suggested, I cooked the noodles super long and I drained all the water out, and added the packet of seasoning in with just a very small amount of water I readded to the bowl. It tastes gross, and I can tell you that if I had made it like a soup, it wouldn't taste as good as it does now (not that it tastes spectacular). The smell is bizarre. It smells burnt almost coming right out of the package, and cooking it doesn't help. My husband thought I had burned something because the burnt smell is so strong but it was just from cooking it. You can definitely smell the pumpkin, but pumpkin usually smells good. This just smells strange, so it doesn't help the flavor at all. The texture of the noodles is good, though. It's just the flavor and smell of the noodles themselves... Not so much. I signed up for a subscription thinking I might like it, but I'm canceling it now. It's just not for me. I really wanted to like them because they're supposed to be healthier, but that didn't happen. Definitely not worth the money!

ITS EXPENSIVE BUT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN IF YOU DONT NEED/WANT THE CARBS!
Unfortunately my presentation skills are not on par with nice looking pictures of food, SO, i will just write what my experience was like with this ramen. Its not authentic ramen in any shape of form, let's not lie about that. HOWEVER, this product is a life saver for someone that is not willing to give up ramen or noodles. Its plant based, so it's never going to taste like the slippery sloppy ramen noodles, but if you boil this long enough, it's pretty comparable. I really didnt like my first experience, i dont know if i cooked it too fast , i know that there was an incredibly off putting smell when i opened the package. I later discovered that smell was the red miso packets. BUT because my first try was marred with the smell issue (for me, my nose is insanely sensitive) i had a hard time liking the product. I went back to try it again, this time adding, cabbage, kale, spring onions and an egg. AAAAAAND because i knew the smell i didnt like was going to be when i opened the packet, i didnt open it til after everything was boiled and cooked, and as soon as the hot water hit that bowl, it smelled 1000 times better, and I throughly enjoyed my 2nd experience. I am pre-diabetic and on my way to having some bad problems if i dont cut my sugar, and carbs. Cutting out sugar is a non issue, but cutting out carbs really freaks me out. But if i can eat this, in place of SHIN or SAPPORO ICHIBAN, then well thats OK, IM IN GET THIS, ITS WORTH IT!

Healthy processed junk food
I actually like the taste of these noodles. I heat water separately and add, and it makes the noodles al dente, which I like. I like to add various kinds of seaweed. But I have to stop eating it, because it is too heavily processed, and is not good for my health, which needs all the help it can get. It contains the following unacceptable ingredients: gum acacia, guar gum, natural flavors (I want them specified), calcium carbonate (aka limestone. I am not a plant. I cannot eat rock. Calcium carbonate will collect in joints and arteries), maltodextrin (messes up gut flora). Also, it doesn't guarantee that the soy sauce does not come from GMO sources, which makes it highly likely it does. So although it is presented as healthy, and sold in health food grocers, it doesn't meet my standards. How I would love to find some noodles that do! These unacceptable ingredients are not needed; there are healthy alternatives. I urge the manufacturer to use those instead.

A different kind of ramen
I'll start by saying this- don't compare these to the 99 cent drugstore ramen. It's a whole other thing. The texture is firmer (which I actually like) and the calorie and protein balance is more favorable. I struggle to hit my protein goals each day and this is definitely helpful. I agree with others that the Miso flavor is a little funky compared to others (I prefer the beef and chicken garlic). Overall I'd say these are worth trying and you decide for yourself. I like them, especially when I'm busy with work and need to grab something quickly

Not a repeat customer
My fault for believing in the marketing and well crafted backstory for this product. The broth mix is tasty but is more ideal as a base to add other ingredients - therefore blowing the cost even further. The ramen itself I consider nearly inedible. The texture is so far from acceptable to me. Aggravated that I did not find a smaller order just to try. Now I have several more servings of what most closely resembles packing material.
