Has some good features, but not fully thought through. These are nice looking lights which appear sturdy and well made on first inspection. They are easy to dismantle without having to unscrew millions of tiny screws. They come with the screws and grommets to fit the punch out hole for the cable entry. HOWEVER- there are no standoffs at the back, or cable recess built in, so if the cable runs in conduit on your outside wall from above, there is no built in cable recess to allow it to go to the cable entry point at the back of the unit. This unit is designed to accept cable coming directly though a wall , or surface run ( in conduit)to the right of the unit. Needless to say our surface run cable came in from the top of the unit, so my husband has to fashion a upvc back plate with a groove at the back, so that the whole thing would look neat.The other slight problem was that the picture appears to show the metal curve plate going all the way to the wall. In fact it stops about 3 inches away, so from the side a large amount of plastic shows. Once installed it is easy to adjust, and only time will tell about its reliability

This was bought to replace an existing broken light and once fitted it's fine and looks good, but fitting is problematic. Firstly the instructions are poor, they cover fitting the lamp but not setting the proximity and sensitivity settings; plus I only discovered that the stick on strip goes on the sensor by viewing the pictures on Amazon. Getting the plastic cover off is beyond a joke, in fact I came close to returning the light but in the end brute force won. For a light that cost £50 the instructions should be comprehensive not just a quick start guide. On the plus side the light looks good and works well with top marks for all the packaging being recyclable, no plastic just cardboard and a paper bag.

Looks very nice outside the new door we've had fitted. Easy to install - I installed to an existing mounting so had to drill a couple of new holes into the back plate to line up with existing holes, but this was fine as it's pretty much all plastic. PIR is adjustable and supplied with some blanking "tape" which I used to great effect (old light came on when the neighbours came home) - now it just works for the area I want covering.Think it looks like it cost more than it actually did and so far so good.

Bought this to light the front door, it works fine , but I’m a bit disappointed in its appearance . The plastic housing is fairly flexible.and the front metal cover is a grey painted finish, it would have looked better as a brushed stainless finish, the light from the opaque slots is not overly bright, but is good enough for the job. There is adjustments under the sensor (I fitted it at the end of last year, so can’t quite remember) and it was easy to set so that it is only triggered by people on my driveway and not every passing car or pedestrian. Only really it’s appearance that lets it down, though maybe I should have researched it more.

Excellent light, great range with the sensor and decent brightness from the lamp. Quality product so should last. Only slight negative was the initial setup - the timer and sensitivity hard to work out but eventually worked out how to set it and now works a treat

These are stylish modern units, and are built to last. I bought 3 for the front of my home to replace ageing units. I fitted LED bulbs rated at 800 lumens each and once the sensor range was set up stood back and tested them. The range is very acceptable as one light sweeps the drive and the other 2 pick up movement along the path to the front door. There is no glare, but a welcome soft light that is more than I need to light my way.Fitting instructions are easy to follow but if you know an electrician, as I do, you can't go wrong.I recommend this product.

Having received and installed the lights within 24 hours I can say these were a pleasure to install and surely are very pleasing to eye due to the diffusion of the inner cover. I had tried lights from Screwfix and various other suppliers and now agree that you get what you pay for when it comes to German quality. We used a 8W LED E27 bulb in 2 of these. Even my 7 year old said "it makes the front look like a hotel". Whole family very pleased. I used these to replace some 15 year PIR black patterns so I already had the wiring in place - glad I did as experimenting with solar powered lights produced some very stark light. These produce a very warm light with the newer filament style LED bulb.

This Steinel sensor light was far better than i expected! Also really glad i read the reviews and went with Amazons recommendation for the bulb.The Aura bulb really suited this light as it was very bright and really set it off.The light itself is modern stylish and was very easy to instal myself , sometimes the pir or the time delay are difficult to set but not on this one i found it really easy. I only needed a drill and screwdriver job done . I would recommend this if you need a stylish security light it is certainly well made and comes very well packaged 5 stars for me.
