Like many people, we had to start working from home in a rush due to Covid-19. My wife got the dining table as she needed more space and I got the tiny spare bedroom as I needed more privacy. This desk was the ideal solution for me. It is certainly large enough to work all day from and has handy storage. After all this is over the desktop will be folded down and we shall have useful document storage/bedside table.The desk was delivered well ahead of schedule, which was a bonus at this time of extended delivery times and the tracking information was detailed. It took me a little time to assemble as it has many fixings to make it strong. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and I had it in use the morning after delivery. I won't be sitting or standing on the desk but it feels sturdy and is easy to wheel around when it is folded away.My wife then found that the dining table was a little too high to work at comfortably and she needed some drawer space. The solution? Buy another of these. Delivery was even faster and I had it assembled within the evening. It fits well into the corner of our small living/dining room and can be folded away if we need a little more space in the evening.

Now that it’s together I am very pleased with it….its good quality and should last a long time. However, make no mistake, this DIY is not for the faint hearted. Whilst the assembly instructions were very good compared to others it required a lot of sussing out re the runners etc and there is a LOT of screwing to be done and since they tell you not to use an electric screwdriver it takes a lot of time to assemble and is really hard work and parts are very heavy.

This desk took me a while to put together as, whilst the spirit is willing, the body is very weak! However, the only minor problems I had was with the different screws. Where packets held the required number of screws, and more sometimes, and corresponded with the numbered list of items, where there were four screws it would have been helpful to have had their measurements as well because there was more than one packet with four screws in and they were of very similar sizes. However, a little common sense was all that was needed to make sure I wasn't using one that was too long so that it didn't go through to the other side of the unit. I simply held the screws against the panels to make sure of the size. Whilst most of the instructions were very good, better than most I have had in fact, it definitely helped that I have put together many flat packs before. Also, as another reviewer said, an electric screwdriver or drill is a big help as there are many screws to put in - 40 in the main unit plus the drawers. The unit now sits happily in a corner of my craft/computer/sewing room and takes up little space when folded down and is just the right size to work on when the drop leaf is pulled up. It also moves very easily when I need to pull it away from the corner, too. I would recommend this unit highly.

Am delighted with the finished, built , desk. Perfect for my sewing projects. Sturdy, roomy drawers, easy to move from room to room.

I love this. It is just what I wanted. Sturdy and looks exactly as picture. Easy to extend.I am not a DIY person and it was too much for me but someone younger or more able in DIY will be able to follow the very good instructions. Mine put together by a friend without problems. I found it helpful to put all the pieces in alphabetical order which helps in the construction.Very pleased with this purchase.It came earlier than first advised and the carrier followed my left instruction of where to put it.

When assembled its sturdy, works exactly as described and the drawers slide smoothly but a multitude of parts means it needs a lot of time and patience to assemble even though the instructions are clear enough. It took a skilled friend nearly three hours to build the first one although the second took less time. However the finished result is very satisfying - a quality product.

I am not a fan of flat packs but this was enjoyable to assemble and the completed unit is just perfect as a desk/crafting table. It folds away to be an unobtrusive drawer unit when not in use. Very pleased with the purchase.

After all the good reviews decided on purchase. The one we received was well packed and took a lot of assembly. Let down by the pre dilled screw holes on one side for the 3 drawer runners being out by 0.5cm. After alit of difficult measurement and drilling new holes in confined space managed to fit. Only because reasonably competent DIY skills managed to correct the manufacture error. Reviews would seem to indicate may be rare occurrence (found one with same problems after the event) so probably small chance of you having same problem. Aside from our issue, excellent design concept for use where you have limited space. Useful for school or homeworking where you can fold desk down after use.
