MILKFUL Lactation Bars for Breastfeeding, Blueberry Almond Coconut, Pack of 6

First impression: (multiple updates below)I ordered the variety pack & just recieved it today. I am currently eating the first bar (chocolate banana nut). I usually enjoy the taste of healthy foods/snacks and while these bars aren't horrible, they are not the best taste either. Definitely worth the less than ideal taste if they work for me.Keeping in mind that each woman is different, the company says that most women see an increase after eating 1-2 bars for 1-2 days.I will come back & update after trying the other flavors & once I can speak to their effectiveness in my case.❗Update❗I have had 3 of the bars now. The blueberry almond coconut flavor is much more tasty than the chocolate banana nut in my opinion. I ate 2 bars yesterday and one this morning so far. I do seem to have an increase in production already, so that is wonderful. I still have yet to taste the maple walnut, but will update with my thoughts on that one and the effectiveness after a few days, as well. Overall, I am pleased with the product at this point.❗Second Update❗I don't typically like maple, but the maple walnut flavor was quite tasty to my surprise. These bars most definitely helped with my production. I don't mean just a little, I mean ENORMOUSLY. I highly recommend these to at least try for a few days. I can't wait to get more!So why 4 stars? The price. If people could get the smaller size boxes for the same unit price as the larger subscription boxes that they offer on their website, that would be amazing. But I am simply a huge fan of these & would be so excited to see them in stores around me, as well.

I keep buying these because I *think* they help my supply. And it’s an easy snack to grab.I did notice a drop In supply when I stopped buying them for a couple weeks. I personally like them, I can see if you weren’t used to a more naturally sweetened taste that these would be gross. To me they taste sweet. I don’t eat refined sugar however, and now refined sugar tastes TOO sweet to me. So if you’re used to sugary treats, no...you will not like these. Try something else. If you’re looking for an option that’s not just sugar and fenugreek, these are for you.I’ve only tried the maple flavor, that’s all I can speak for.I think they’re expensive, especially when the ingredients aren’t organic. I can easily eat 3 of these in a day... they’re small. That’s half of the box... That’s why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5, and the fact that I don’t notice A huge increase in supply.I appreciate they fit my diets needs. Being gluten, dairy and refined sugar free. Most of the other lactation treats I looked into were not and that’s why I buy these.

First of all, don’t let my 3 stars fool you...these bars work. I’ve had 1.5 for the last three days and after about 24 hours, I noticed an increase in my supply. I’ve got pretty low supply, enough to where at least half of my bottles for my (almost) 4 week old consist of formula; however, because of the bars, the last three pumps I’ve had enough for an entire bottle.I’d give the bars 5 stars based on results...but, the taste is absolutely horrible. I had to read the ingredients a few times to make sure vomit wasn’t actually listed as an ingredient (it wasn’t). I thought that maybe it was the brewer’s yeast giving it the horribly sour taste, but I tried another brand of cookie with brewers yeast and the taste wasn’t a problem at all.Would I buy them again? No. I’ve done everything I can to choke down these 6 bars because I refuse to throw $ away. I suggest heading over to Target and buy the munchkin brand milkmakers lactation cookies (which actually taste like famous Amos cookies) and seeing if the brewers yeast works for you...if it does work, buy the ingredients and make your own bites. Unless of course you’d rather waste money on vomit bars.

I normally don't leave Feedback's but I had to leave one now.. I have been struggling with nursing and pumping. My supply just wasn't sufficient and I couldn't keep up with her. I bought these as well as drinking tons of water. Pumping every 2-3 hours. Before these cookies I'd pump 8-9 times a day while also nursing I would only get MAYBE 5oz a day. (Horrible I know) I've had 2 cookies starting at 10am and by 5pm today I have pumped 8oz, only 5 sittings... you guys know the excitement of the "let down" today when it went past 2oz on one side twice I almost cried. Lol if you need a boost I totally recommend these. I give a 4 because they're pretty pricey for 6 cookies, but I'd say it's worth it.

I was very satisfied with these bars!!!! I’m a nurse that works 12 hr shifts in a hospital, so pumping when I need to doesn’t always happen. I had a big drop in my milk production when I went back to work from maternity leave. It was the second or third day back to work, I went to pump and only got a few drops from one side and less than half an oz on the other side. Every mama who’s gone through this knows how devastating that is, I tried not to cry, pulled myself together and went back to work. I asked some of my following breastfeeding friends what I should do and they recommended these bars. I ate one in the morning and one in the late afternoon and really pushed drinking more water. Within a couple of days i was pumping a total of 4oz-5oz in about 10 min, which was my norm before going to work. They are a little pricey but it’s something that helps my supply so I’m willing to pay a little extra, and I thought they were pretty yummy!!!
