Front Upper Grille Grill Molding Trim Plastic Chrome Replacement For HONDA CR-V 2012 2013 2014 EX, EX-L, LX, Touring HO1217107

Easy to install this replacement chrome piece however, it was personally challenging for me to remove the stock grille to access the 3 Phillips screws in the back of the chrome trim. There are 6 yellow tabs that lock the grille assembly to the car. I personally had difficulty removing those with fear of breaking it. Once everything is off, replacement is straight forward and much easier.

I bought this item to replace the missing trim on our 2012 Honda CRV. I was having a little trouble installing until I found a YouTube Video that explained that several of the attachments aren't clips but screws that come in from the back side. So I had to loosen up the entire grill to access the back so I could unscrew the broken clips from the original trim. I was then able to use the screws to attach the new trim. Seems to be holding up well.

Putting this plastic chrome trim on requires removing the entire front grill, which involves a really weird process of blindly stabbing a screwdriver underneath the grill. I recommend watching the video on Youtube, "CR-V Grill Removal and Replacement" by Zach Fields. In my attempt the trim lines up on the grill but the trim's clipss weren't long enough to hold it in place so mine is only held on by the three original screws. (KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL THREE SCREWS, this kit didn't come with any). I'm frustrated that the CLIPS AREN'T LONG ENOUGH to hold it on, maybe had I installed in warmer weather they would have bent further and clicked into place, but I felt like I was going to break it had I struggled any further. We'll see how long it stays in place with just the screws. Regardless, it looks better replaced after god-knows-what-happened to the original. And it was a good price. I'm sure a shop would have charged hundreds.

This piece of our grill suddenly was missing from our 2014 CRV. We suspect the drive thru gas station car wash was where it met its demise. We ordered this product from Amazon, watched a quick YouTube video (highly recommend watching a how-to video before attempting this), and then hubs went out and installed this new one. We are pretty sure if he hadn’t watched the YouTube video he would have had no idea that this is much more than a simple snap on job. The new grill piece looks great and fits perfectly! NO MORE GAS STATION CAR WASHES FOR US!

Great grill molding. Recently had a repair done to my CRV and as I was driving the grill flew off of my SUV. I thought it was from some one else, but when I parked my vehicle, there it was, a missing grill. I immediately checked out Amazon's website for a replacement. Reasonable price and mechanic installer installed it with success. Saves me lot of money instead of going to Honda dealer to purchase and install it.
